When they were alone Tina lent in for a longer and deeper kiss. She ended it and grinned at Bette
“You are so wonderful “
“So are you – I’ve got some news “
“Yeah ? “
“ I changed the date of my check up. I’m having a sonogram in 30 minutes — we’ll know if I’m having a boy or a girl — is there anyway you can come with me ?
Bette beamed
“There is no way I’m not coming with you “
Suddenly she looked at the crib
“But I cannot leave him alone and I cannot take him with us”
Tina really wanted Bette with her when she found out the sex of her baby — wanted it to be a shared moment
“I could ask a nurse to take him for an hour “ Bette looked at Tina – she could see that this was a special moment for her.
At that moment the door opened
“Sorry sorry darlings – I bought some clothes for my kids and I left them here. Pretend I’m not here “
Helena indicated the shopping bag at the base of the bed.
Tina grinned at Bette
“Helena “
“Yes darlings “
“You wouldn’t do us a vast favour ? “
“Of course — what is it ? “
“I’m having my sonogram in half an hour and I would really like Bette with me “
“And you need a babysitter for Daniel ? “
“If you don’t mind “
“So does this mean I will get to babysit him for real when the two of you come home ? “
“Yes – you can supervise the others as well “
“Okay – and if Speilberg calls offering a huge amount of dollars for us to work with him the call will just have to be dealt with by the staff in the canteen “ she laughed
“Go on — you better tell a nurse where you are going because while I can change and comfort him I hardly have the other function that he might need “

In 45 minutes Bette and Tina were coming back in the lift. Bette was still wearing PJ and her robe and had caused many raised eyebrows when they had walked into the pre-natal clinic.
Tina was holding onto Bette’s hand — they were both silent.
The walk back to Bette’s room took a long time – Bette was walking slowly because she was still in discomfort but finally they reached her room
Helena was sitting on the bed reading a magazine
“Hey “
“Hia “
“So — what’s the verdict ? “
Tina beamed “We are having a girl “
Helena was halfway across the room to congratulate them when Bette made the second announcement

Holy shit Three in diaper at the same time. They Can feed all three at one time and still have a spare . Twins girls. That is great. Maybe Bette will sell her gallerys in London and come back home in a year. Tina babies will have due citizen ship. thanks so much for posting

LMFAO!!!! No fucking way… TWINS!!! Ally, you’re just too much!! Just when you think that the Kennard-Porter family is finally settling down for some much needed uneventful time, there comes Ally with yet another big bomb!!!! Gosh, within a few weeks, they both go from being lonely and miserable to turning into a loving family of five!!! A very winding road INDEED!!!
Are they identical? That always adds an element of weirdness to the happy occassion. Man, 3 babies in diapers in one house. With that many, it won’t matter what side of the Atlantic they’ll settle on. We’re ALL going to be able to smell that diaper pail. Yeah, bring Alice to England, they’ll need another pair of hands. Oh, the joy of it all!

AllyE, that was a wonderful chapter. I like this Helena very much, she has turned out to be quite a friend to them. And twin girls, oh my what a happy and noisy household that will be with three babies at once, all in diapers, all needing baby food, night feedings middle of the night changes and on, and on, and on. This is gonna be a lot of fun to read and I know you will have a lot of fun writing it. They must take Alice to England with them and they must hire a nanny. Even with the three of them those are not enough hands to take care of three infants. This is gonna be so much fun, can hardly wait. It will be an experience to behold.
Well my friend I must admit my first reaction when I read the last two words of this chapter were—Holy Shit. Babe you are just something else do you know that and as soon as I figure out what that is I’ll let you know. LOL Seriously though—this is a wonderful chapter. You really pulled out all the stops on this one. You are the only author on this site that can make me feel so many different emotions in the same chapter. In case you don’t get what I am trying to say here babe—I am saying the you are the best author on this site bar none.
