“I heard from a little lesbian birdie who saw him after he left the cabin and he looked shell shocked. We never saw him again did we Alice – do you think he had some sort of post traumatic stress after you had had your wicked way with him ? “ Tina asked evilly joining in.
“Well T – what I heard was that he looked – quote green round the gills unquote “ Bette confirmed.
By now Helena and Bette were both laughing a lot – Alice threw a sandwich at Bette who caught it with one hand — took a bite and threw it back.
“Sorry Alice – too much mustard on that for me but thanks for offering to make sure my son and I get a lot of food “
“Alice — that is a reprehensible thing — poor man – there he is trying to be a lesbian and you are grabbing him by the nuts and giving him the full work over. “ Helena scolded Alice through her laughter.
“Alice is certainly the full work over “ Tina confirmed.
Alice had stopped laughing – she had remembered one particular memory of that night – how drunk and how gorgeously hot Dana had looked.
“Some of the stories about Alice are just classic “ Bette was explaining to Helena.
Tina had seen the change in mood and realised what it was about – she frowned at Helena and touched Bette on the arm – Bette glanced across at her partner who indicated the now silent Alice. Tina got up and got on the floor beside Alice and pulled her into her arms.
“You okay honey ? “
“I just miss her “
“We know that sweetie “
Alice rested her head on Tina’s shoulder – feeling eased by the human contact. Tina stroked her hair and looked at Bette. Bette smiled ruefully – she was concerned for Alice – they definitely needed to spend more time together before the baby was born.
“Hey Alice – what say we go out to a club tonight – see if there is any talent around ? “ Helena asked

It was nice to see Bette let out all of her inner pain that lead to her leaving the country. The pain that both of them felt was finally revealing itself to each other. That overwhelming pain was at last being set free from both of them. Even in your time of pain you bring us joy. Thank you for this chapter.

Ally, this chapter is something else. It evoked so many different emotions in me that for once I can’t find the right words to discribe how this chapter made me feel. So let me just say this—what a great chapter.
Thank you, Ally. Now are we going to have to revisit that whole Clinton/if it’s not penile penetration it’s not sex debate? How in Alice’s estimation did 69 cease being sex and get relegated to making out? Oh well, the woman has many curious ideas, like lusting after the male ‘lesbian’. i am usually a silent reader, but i just had to thank you for what a certain part of your chapter has done for me. let me just put it this way–one of your descriptions of Tina making love to Bette has reached certain parts that other chapters cannot.

Hey Ally, hope you had a really good weekend. reading this post made my morning. you really know how to incorporate depth and range. At one point i was laughing and at another point almost crying.
