Alice rubbed her eyes
“You sure ? “
“Yes – you can explain your lesbian connection thing to me again with some real life examples. Plus – I’m sure Bette and Tina want some time alone “
“You two could come “ Alice suggested.
“You are kidding Al – in my condition – forget it. We might not have been as boring during Tina’s last pregnancy but I am as sure as hell boring now – on doctors orders may I add. No – the old lady needs her rest – you two go “
“What about you Tina – leave the bump at home and come with us – come on Tina “
“Sorry Alice – I have had a rubbish day and I want to go to bed and spoon up as close as possible to my beautiful woman and feel our baby doing cartwheels – is he alright Bette ? “
“Yes – he’s fine – you can go if you want babe “
“No thanks – my place is beside my family – I hope you understand Helena “
“Of course I do – we both understand – you two have such a short period of time before your lives are changed forever “
Alice smiled at her friends
“Thanks – come on Helena — lets go out – we better call a cab we have both had a fair bit of Porter’s lethal cocktails “
It took 20 minutes but finally Tina came back out to the pool area to join Bette – their home finally their own again. She flopped beside her pregnant lover and lent in for a long, soft kiss.
“Mm that is better – I love our friends but I do just want to be with you all the time”
Bette returned the kiss but Tina could sense that something was bothering her.
“We need to talk about a couple of things “

“The night we were teasing Alice about – on the boat – do you remember when we went home ? “

It was nice to see Bette let out all of her inner pain that lead to her leaving the country. The pain that both of them felt was finally revealing itself to each other. That overwhelming pain was at last being set free from both of them. Even in your time of pain you bring us joy. Thank you for this chapter.

Ally, this chapter is something else. It evoked so many different emotions in me that for once I can’t find the right words to discribe how this chapter made me feel. So let me just say this—what a great chapter.

How in Alice’s estimation did 69 cease being sex and get relegated to making out? Oh well, the woman has many curious ideas, like lusting after the male ‘lesbian’. i am usually a silent reader, but i just had to thank you for what a certain part of your chapter has done for me. let me just put it this way–one of your descriptions of Tina making love to Bette has reached certain parts that other chapters cannot.

Hey Ally, hope you had a really good weekend. reading this post made my morning. you really know how to incorporate depth and range. At one point i was laughing and at another point almost crying.
