Alice sneered back at Bette but looked concerned.
“You really want us to tell Helena about that party on that boat at the Marina – when we were all there “
“Okay – “ Helena held up a finger “ I have sat and listened to this long enough – Alice –what is wrong with people making love in privacy – that was very wrong of you and you should apologize to your friends “ she scolded Alice.
“Having said that — come on Bette — tell me tales of the miscreant Alice “
“They know nothing “ Alice challenged.
“Okay Helena — well – we were all invited to a party on this boat – a lesbian party “
“The best sort “ Helena commented.
“Tina and I didn’t really want to go because Tina was having a difficult pregnancy – morning sickness and problems with her ankles – but we had been labelled as boring so we went “
Tina smiled at the memory of how loving Bette had been – how they had spent virtually the whole time they had been there in their own company. It had been one of the happiest times of a horrible period of time for them.

It was nice to see Bette let out all of her inner pain that lead to her leaving the country. The pain that both of them felt was finally revealing itself to each other. That overwhelming pain was at last being set free from both of them. Even in your time of pain you bring us joy. Thank you for this chapter.

Ally, this chapter is something else. It evoked so many different emotions in me that for once I can’t find the right words to discribe how this chapter made me feel. So let me just say this—what a great chapter.

How in Alice’s estimation did 69 cease being sex and get relegated to making out? Oh well, the woman has many curious ideas, like lusting after the male ‘lesbian’. i am usually a silent reader, but i just had to thank you for what a certain part of your chapter has done for me. let me just put it this way–one of your descriptions of Tina making love to Bette has reached certain parts that other chapters cannot.

Hey Ally, hope you had a really good weekend. reading this post made my morning. you really know how to incorporate depth and range. At one point i was laughing and at another point almost crying. I’m really glad Bette and Tina are talking about their past.I hope that helps to put it behind them.Post soon =)
