The house was quiet when she got inside so Bette busied herself putting the shopping away. It was 10 minutes later when she sneaked into their bedroom to check on her family.
Danny was asleep in his crib – his limbs sticking out at all angles. He was just the most perfect baby she had ever seen and Tina was right in her assessment that he looked more like Bette with every day that passed.
The other figure in the room was also asleep – Tina was lying naked but for a tiny tee-shirt that had ridden up her body and Bette could see her back as well as her very cute ass. If Danny got more like Bette then Tina grew more beautiful with every day that passed
The “ bump “ was beginning to show – a fact that delighted both of them. Bette sat on the bed for a few minutes just looking at love at her wonderful wife. She was so crazy about Tina , Bette still had her fears but she was trying very hard to keep them under control.
Slowly they were knitting together as a family of three. They both had different parenting ideas – Tina wanted Danny to sleep with them every night and Bette most certainly did not.
They had tried it for one night and Bette had hated it – terrified that she would suffocate him especially as they automatically rolled together during the night.
Even Tina had admitted that it was a bad idea and she was getting used to holding Bette while her tummy allowed it.
But that aside they were making compromises and becoming closer as a consequence. Bette left the two of them to their slumbers and returned to the kitchen, she made herself a sandwich and settled down to resuming reading the book she had started in hospital.
After half an hour she began to feel sleepy and dozed in the chair until awoken by a noise. At first she couldn’t trace it but soon worked out that it came from the baby monitor. Bette was about to go to Danny when she stopped – it wasn’t her son making noise.

tina’s last statement was really odd…i know bette should trust her but tina also should understand her fears…plus they are both hormonal…and they don’t need drama right now
So Bette’s 41 and Tina’s in her 30s. Too bad neither has found the time to grow up, to bad neither has learned to discuss emotional things in a rational manner. Love is NOT enough.

I agree with Jwet… That takes a hell of a writer to be able to write such conflicting emotions filled chapters on the same day! Don’t know what to think, except that they’re both under the effect of the surging of an overload of hormones right now. After all, post-natal stress might have played a major role in the undigging of Bette’s most deepest fears. Your call, Tina!!!… Thanks Ally.

Apparently I didn’t get my copy of the memo that says masturbation when you’re in a relationship is a bad thing. I’ll have one of my 8 bosses (or hell maybe all of them) give me a copy before the end of the day. I read Tina’s parting line several times trying to figure out in which way she meant it. I can only assume it was the way Bette didn’t want to think about.
