    Author Notes:

    A party – Lara impresses Marina – Kit starts to break down – Bette and Tina make progress – Alice and Dana are, well, Alice and Dana – Sam still isn’t sure about her relationship with Shane and Alice tries to set her straight – Shane is actling like Shane, the Romeo of LA

     

                “Right here.”  Marina opened a pantry at the far end of the room and found the cookie sheets.  Lara grinned brightly; taking them from Marina with her fingers brushing Marina’s gently as she did so.  Then getting back to the task she had been doing.

     

                “It was very nice of Sam to arrange for you to do this for Kit and Ivan.”  Marina stated, striking up a conversation.  Lara nodded having spoken to Sam, who had been out of town for almost two weeks, just yesterday.  It had been a friendly, even conversation that left Lara wondering about she and Shane’s budding relationship.

     

                “She’s a really sweet woman, not many like her around anymore.”  Lara stated sliding the sheet into the oven and setting the time.

     

                “No I suppose not.  I do not know her all that well, but she has been very good to Shane.”  Lara nodded again not giving away anything that she knew or didn’t know.

     

                “I hear you are back with Jenny?”  Lara asked, changing the subject.  Marina’s face grew serious at the question.

     

                “I suppose you could say that.”  Marina’s accent just a bit muddier with her answer.

     

                “I thought I just did.”  Chuckled Lara giving Marina a bright smile.

                “Why am I so nervous?”  Kit asked herself as she slid into her linen pants.  She looked at herself in the mirror; not sure she recognized the reflection before her. 

     

                She stood, staring at herself.  She turned and saw the beer that was sitting opened on the dresser.  She wiped her mouth with the back of her hand. 

     

                She walked over to the bottle peeling the label from the bottle as she rested it against her belly.  The bottle was empty so Kit dropped it into the trash, moving some thing around so that the bottle was hidden.

                “Are you ready?”  Bette called as she opened the door to Tina’s apartment with the key that Tina had given to her two days before.

     

                “I’m getting there.”  Tina called back hopping up and down on one foot putting her shoes on.  She fumbled with the chain she was trying to put on.

    1. Kit, back on the wagon…now all we need is to get Ivan back up there for a truly event free relationship, NOT! Famous last words Ivan (especially with J at the helm of this mad capped story), “Nothing could go wrong; nothing on earth could stop this wedding from happening.” Now, are B&T gonna really talk or are they going to continue to find the least mature (yet most prime time) ways to deal with their issues?

    2. Not a nice parting shot Shane muttered about her bed partner (“Glad someone got something out of it.” ) geez thats rough. Gloom & possibly doom ahead? Can’t wait J.

    3. I for one think the wedding won’t go ahead as planned *evil grin*, but I’ll have to wait a bit more to see if I’m right. Good to see Bette and Tina are doing rather well. And then there’s good ol’Shane lol, but she really is sleeping with the wrong women…;)

    4. Kit is not cut out for this. Can’t please everyone all the time. she love Ivan,but she is not in love with her. Shane needs to get her act together and so does Sam. Tina and Bette Iffie. Still Hanging in here and love it. Thanks bvh
