    The Gathering 01.23 – Dress Rehearsal

     

                Jenny was throwing clothes left and right, it was the night of Kit and Ivan‘s engagement party.  The bed was covered in clothes bras and shoes scattered all over the floor of her room. 

     

                The wedding had been pushed back another month because Tina would be out of town at the earlier date.  It had been a god send in a way giving them all time to get ready for the auspicious event.  Kit had asked Jenny to write a poem for the day and it was a daunting task, how do you explain love?

     

                She moaned not being able to find anything that she wanted.  She settled on an open back black dress.  She rushed down the stairs; looking in the mirror and pulling her hair back into a quick ponytail. 

     

                “Much better…”  She muttered, shuffling around and finding her keys and heading out of the door in a rush.

                Marina was putting the finishing touches on the back rooms of the Planet; which after today would be called Atmosphere.  They would still hold Radar, but it would be here with a lot of atmosphere; as Kit eloquently put it.  She washed the bar down one last time, smiling at how well life had progressed in the last few months.

     

                “Marina?”  Came the lusty voice of Lara Perkins.  Marina turned and looked at the dark red head the front of her chef’s outfit held the imprint of flour and what looked to be soy sauce.  She was a ***** creature, quiet in a way, yet wild in the inside she was sure.

     

                “Hello Lara is there something you can’t find in the kitchen?”  Lara nodded rubbing her chin with the back of her flour covered hand.  She was stunning and childlike in some ways as Marina took the sight of her in.

     

                “I can’t find the cookie sheets, of all the things I couldn’t find it was that.”  Marina nodded and they went back to the kitchen. 

     

                Sam had thought that Lara would be the perfect chef for the evening’s events.  She’d been right; Dana had agreed, but Alice has scoffed.  Marina thought Alice was much to protective; even if their relationship was just beginning.

    1. Kit, back on the wagon…now all we need is to get Ivan back up there for a truly event free relationship, NOT! Famous last words Ivan (especially with J at the helm of this mad capped story), “Nothing could go wrong; nothing on earth could stop this wedding from happening.” Now, are B&T gonna really talk or are they going to continue to find the least mature (yet most prime time) ways to deal with their issues?

    2. Not a nice parting shot Shane muttered about her bed partner (“Glad someone got something out of it.” ) geez thats rough. Gloom & possibly doom ahead? Can’t wait J.

    3. I for one think the wedding won’t go ahead as planned *evil grin*, but I’ll have to wait a bit more to see if I’m right. Good to see Bette and Tina are doing rather well. And then there’s good ol’Shane lol, but she really is sleeping with the wrong women…;)

    4. Kit is not cut out for this. Can’t please everyone all the time. she love Ivan,but she is not in love with her. Shane needs to get her act together and so does Sam. Tina and Bette Iffie. Still Hanging in here and love it. Thanks bvh
