    Bette and Tina are dating.

    “Well … have a wonderful day. I’m really excited to see you, Tina.”

    Tina purred into the phone again before laughing at her own cruelty and playfulness. “I’m excited too.”

    “Mercy.”

    “That looks really good.”

    Tina smiled to herself as Bette spoke, feeling as flirtatious as ever. Surely the phrase had been intended for the cheesecake dessert placed before them, but Tina had to enjoy the tone of Bette’s voice. She looked up and with her own hunger, she was positive that Bette would taste as sweet. “Yeah … it does look enticing.” At times she even surprised herself, because she had never been so attracted to one person before.

    Bette shot her a look, and when Tina’s smile affirmed her sneaking suspicion, she blushed again. “Tina, this has really been a wonderful date. I just want you to know that – even if I get all flustered and …” she wanted to say excited “… Silly. This is really the best date I’ve ever had.” And as Tina reached out and touched her hand, Bette continued. “Even if you keep accidentally distracting me from what I’m trying to say.”

    Tina was excited herself with the way Bette reacted to her, and she knew exactly what Bette meant by that. “Oh, I’m sorry. I really don’t mean to shake you up or anything. I just like it when you smile at me that way. It makes me wonder what’s going on in your mind.”

    Bette let out a hearty laugh. “You don’t wanna know.”

    “Alright,” Tina smirked, deciding to humor Bette’s insistence. “Hey umm … do you have another fork?” She had just realized they’d only been left with one, and she locked eyes with Bette, attempting to keep quiet her desire to feed the beautiful brunette. She had a feeling Bette wanted exactly that as well, but neither was brave enough to propose it. The tension grew just as their waiter returned.

    “Here it is.”

    They both looked down to the extra fork as the waiter left just as quickly, and felt like the opportunity had slipped away.

    Tina figured there would be other chances for such erotic acts. Hopefully time would lead them to a number of new experiences, Tina thought to herself with a smile, as they were in the car after their long meal. She had paid because Bette would be driving, and convinced the brunette it would ease her mind. And in the car, she just couldn’t help but admire Bette’s profile as the woman drive – she looked so elegant in the pale light of the evening.
