“The who now?”  She growled as she got up, running for the phone as she rubbed her head.

            Tina stood on the stoop glancing at them both back and forth as if she were watching one of Dana’s tennis matches.  The sun was starting to grace them with its fire and she was trapped, she didn’t know what to do.  Come on Tina, she thought to herself, this is the crux moment that everyone in the world has talked about.  Where you get to be YOU and not who everyone else wants you to be.

            Bette reached out to her and Tina saw Rosita just sitting on the front end of her car, seemingly unscathed from her adventure.  Tina then saw Ro coming towards them, her sleek body moving against the clothes she was wearing, making Tina’s breath stop.  She wasn’t going to make her choose she was going to come and get her.  Ro, Jesus.  Tina thought and reminded herself to breath.

            “Everything ok Bella?  You look worn out I’m sorry I worried you.  I came as soon as I could.  Are you ok?”  Ro asked and Tina threw her arms around her and Ro smiled holding Tina close. 

            “I thought I’d lost you.  I don’t know what I’d have done!”  Tina said and Rosita ran a finger down her cheek.  She pursed her lips and then smiled a small smile, making her face light up as she did.

            “No way Jose, I told you I promised.  Shane, Bette.”  Rosita said with a nod a hello to the women.  Bette gathered up every ounce of courage that she had and extended her now clean hand.

            “Hi, we haven’t officially met.  I’m Bette Porter.”  Rosita stared at the hand and she stepped out of Tina’s hard embrace and took Bette’s hand.

            “I’ve heard of you.”  Ro said with a smile Ro simply shook her hand quickly and turned back to Tina.  At least Bette looked better Rosita thought to herself.  “Auggie is ok, just thought I would come and make sure you came to Shane.  In case you know.”  Rosita said her attention now totally on Tina who nodded.
