Storm Watch 02.08 – Bed Of Lies

She’d observed Dana try to pretend nothing was wrong, and Alice talk about the new sort of stitch she’d learned in her crocheting class.  The world had gone insane, and she felt like she was hitched onto the ride and couldn’t get off.

Over all, it had been a night, she’d rather have forgotten.  She wove her car from one street to another.  Thinking she’d been driving aimlessly, but she hadn’t been.  Her subconscious mind had directed her to a place she knew wasn’t filled with memories of Bette.

She found herself passing by not once, not twice, but a three times passed Rosita Navarro‘s place.  Tina had to admit to herself that it wasn’t just a coincidence.

“Oh Tina what in the world are you doing?  It’s 3 a.m.“  She said out loud to herself, rubbing her face as she looked up at the 3 story garage.

“S’ok bella, any time you need a shoulder…”  Tina remembered her saying and Tina needed that shoulder right now, she needed someone to tell her that she was going to be ok, without Bette.  She pulled into the driveway and stepped out of her car.

It took her about 20 minutes before she got the nerve to walk up the stairs and knock on the door.  She heard muttering and scrambling behind the door and Rosita pulled the door opened, not bothering to check who was behind it.

“Who’s dead….? Tina?  Bella what’s wrong?”  Rosita said, any remnant of sleep were gone when she saw Tina standing there.  Tina just shrugged, Ro stood at the door, in a relaxed manner.  As if being woken up in the middle of the night wasn’t a big deal.  She leaned on the edge of the door regarding Tina, who must have looked like a total wreck.

“I. I just don’t know Rosita.  I’m sorry I shouldn’t have come.”  Tina stammered and Ro swept the door opened waving her long dark arm, letting Tina into her home.

Tina sighed staring at the cooling coffee as the memory played in her mind.  Shane sat down next to her a glint in her eye.  Shane looked stunning in an old pair of worn out jeans and a crisp black shirt.  Smiling a bit impishly and Tina had to ask.
