Chapter 15: Tina’s decision
The Planet, LA, Present day, Tina’s POV
I’m sitting here in The Planet wondering if I should go to the opening after all. What if Bette brings a trophy girlfriend to the opening? I don’t think I could handle the pain of seeing her with another woman not after she told Shane that she still loves me
“Tina you ok?” I look up to see Kit looking at me with concern in her eyes. I didn’t know what to do and only Kit or Shane could help me figure out what the hell I should I do
“I don’t know what to do” Kit gulps hard. She pulls out the chair opposite me and sits down. I shake my head and shrug “The news of Bette’s return has really sunk in and has hit me for six” I think Kit knew that this would happen to me. Was I really up to seeing Bette after seventeen years of waiting? “Seventeen years Kit” I was truly hurt that Bette hadn’t even tried to contact me or made any sort of push to come and see me and the question that is in my head right now is why? “Not once in seventeen years did she come to see me or make any push to contact me and that has really hurt me” Kit clutches my hand and squeezes it gently “I still love her but she has really hurt me” I saw Kit’s eyes drop to the table. She was hiding something “Kit?” she looks at me and sighs heavily
“I think you better come into my office I have something for you” I was confused and very curious. Kit had something for me. Was it from Bette? Has she been hiding letters Bette had sent to me? I would literally kill her if she was. I follow Kit into her office. She pulls something out of one of her desk drawers “Bette asked me to give you this if she ever decided to come home” Kit hands me a envelope, I take it and look at her “I don’t know what it is, she wouldn’t tell me” I open the envelope and take out its contents. It was a letter. I unfold it and begin to read

Melvin has just put himself in the catbird seat where all those women will wear him out if he tries any funny stuff. I’ll bet he brings the guy with him hat he thinkshe can make Bette marry. The man is crazy as hell. I can hardly wait to see how you have everyone cope with Melvin’s antics and Tina and Bette’s reunion. Hope you make it spectacular for them and piss on Melvin. Hopefully the years have provided Bette with enough strength to deal with Melvins condescending attitude.

Melvin must have had someoe following Bette all these years othewise how would he know she was the anonymous artist. I hope Peggy is aware and has a plan in place to keep him in check. I would hate for the happy all be it nervous reunion to be ruined by his selfish ass. PPS

Hello bettetina09, It was sweet to have Tina and Kit bonding over Bette’s return and Tina find out why Bette had never contacted her in the past.Now Mad-Dog Melvin will be at the opening. All I hope is that is he tries anything then the gang descend on him and sort him out, letting Bette and Tina reunite and discuss where their future lies. In each other’s arem I hope.Brilliant plotting and exicting story-telling.Many thanks from Your Loyal Fan.
