Alice: Hey, sexy how are you?

Sloan: Alice, I’m good. Hey, Tasha

        Carmen came to the door.

Carmen: hey, al

Alice: hi

Carmen: did you guys eat? My mom cooked

Tasha: actually we didn’t, man it smells just like papi’s mother house.

Alice: (nervous) you mom is here, we can come back, ya’know

Sloan: don’t be silly, come eat.

          Tasha was walking behind Alice

Alice: I haven’t seen her mother since the “wedding”

Mrs. Morales: quien es?

Carmen: Mami, you remember Alice.

Mrs.Morales: Who”

Ana: la amiga de Shane

    Carmen put her head down. Waiting for her mother to answer

Mrs.Morales: O, si, si la amiga de Shane, Well, Shane no te aquí, you eat with us.

     Sloan was looking at Ana and Rodney; they shrugged their shoulders at the same time.

   They all began to sit down to eat, Sloan was in heaven. She loved when Carmen’s mother came to the house.

     Everyone at the table was quiet, Sloan and Carmen sat across from eat other, Alice and Tasha the same. Mrs.Morales and Ana sat at the head of the table. Rodney sat next to Carmen.

Tasha: This is great Mrs.Morales, thank you.

     Sloan was eating, Carmen was looking at Sloan.

Sloan: (looking up) what?

      Carmen just shook her head, and smiled.

  Alice was looking at the signals they were giving each other.

Mrs. Morales: Sloan, how long before you go back to work.

Sloan: a couple of weeks

Mrs.Morales: things like this only happen to good people.

       Sloan smiled, Carmen loved the way she treated her mother.

After dinner was over Mrs.Morales went home it was getting late for her.

        Tasha, Alice, Carmen and Sloan were sitting in the living room.

Tasha: Are you guys ready to watch a movie?

Carmen: we can watch it in the theater

Alice: You have a theater here.

Carmen: yea, down the hallway, first door on the right

    Everyone went to watch a movie; Alice told Tasha she wanted one of her own. Tasha laughed; looking around the room Tasha notices a poker table.

Tasha: (pointing at the table) you play

Sloan: used too

Tasha: why did you stop?

Sloan: don’t know, you play

Tasha: every once in awhile I get up with the girls, maybe you should come on day

Sloan: cool

     Sloan put the movie into the blue ray player, Alice and Tasha sat next to each other. Sloan layed across the couch with her back up against the arm of the couch, Carmen sat in between Sloan’s legs leaned back.

    Sloan knew what Carmen was doing.

Carmen: Am I too heavy

Sloan: No, are you comfortable (twirling Carmen’s hair)

Carmen: yea, if you are in any pain, I can…..

Sloan: shhhh, the movie starting

       Halfway through the movie, Shane had text Carmen.

Shane: I want to see, can you meet me at the planet

Carmen: Can’t, not now

Shane: tomorrow

Carmen: where at?

Shane: the planet

Carmen: are you crazy? Jenny might be there

Shane: I know I want to see you.

      Carmen had snapped the phone shut….
