Kit squeezes her sister’s hand. “Well, if there’s anything I can do to help, you know I’m here….”
Bette gently smiles. “I know…. thanks….”
Kit stands up and pecks Bette on her forehead. “Eat…. I mean it, baby girl…. love you…”
“Love you….” Bette says before going back to her salad……

Hollywood Hills….
Kali Steakhouse….
Tina and her date are sitting at their table, laughing and having a pleasant conversation over dinner.
Julie cut into her steak and smirks at Tina. “So, did you do the thing where you eat a little something before coming to a stuffy restaurant?”
Tina giggles and blushes a little. “Uh…maybe, but I will neither confirm nor deny….”
Julie laughs as she brings her fork to her mouth. “Well, I’ll admit I scarfed down like a half bag of chips, so….”
They both gently laugh before going back to their food.
Julie wipes her mouth with her napkin and pushes away from the table. “Excuse me for a sec….”
“Sure…” Tina says.
Tina watches her date walk toward the bathroom, then looks down and cuts into her steak. She then looks up and pauses all movement as she watches Michelle and another woman being escorted to a table across the room.
“What the hell?” She whispers; she watches, with her fork in one hand and knife in another, as the woman pulls out Michelle’s chair before taking her own.
“What the fuck am I seeing right now?” Tina says to herself, her eyes still glued across the room as Michelle gives the woman a flirtatious smile.
“What the fuck, Michelle…” Tina says to herself again; she then sighs and closes her eyes. “Tina stop it; maybe it’s not what you think….it could be innocent, just mind your fucking business….” She opens her eyes again, looks down, and concentrates on her food, but eventually, her eyes venture across the room.
A few beats later, Julie returns with a smile on her face. “Sorry about that; as expensive as this place is, you would think they’d have more stalls in their restrooms….” She chuckles, but her smile fades when she sees that Tina seems to be distracted by something across the room. “Hey…. you good?”
Tina drags her eyes away from Michelle, looks at her date, and smiles. “Oh, yeah…yeah I’m good….”
“K…” Julie says as she digs back into her food.
Tina again looks across the room, and her fears are confirmed when the woman reaches across the table, grabs Michelle’s hand, and rubs it tenderly before flirtatiously giving it a gentle kiss.
Tina watches Michelle flirtatiously smile as she interlocks her fingers with the mysterious woman’s.
Tina closes her eyes and takes a deep breath. “Fuck….” She whispers as she tries to decide what her next move should be…….

I’ve been waiting for this! I’m on the last day of my holiday vacation, I’m wrapping it up with this pt.1 and hopefully a pt. 2 is not too far away.

This is a lovely, wonderful story, I just don’t understand why I can’t access it like I used to… finally resigned…
Tina doesn’t have it easy, on the one hand she doesn’t want to meddle in Bette’s life, but on the other hand she can’t sit idly by in the face of a situation that affects a loved one…
One more time I found the chapter short :) because I want very much to continue reading more and more. Please, I hope the next one come soon :)
I guess if I were Tina, this is one situation in which I simply could not resist getting back at Michelle for all of her public speeches on how much I (Tina) disgust her by being able to laugh and go on with my life. I would have my dinner with Julie and then take Julie over to the table and introduce her to Michelle. You know… come meet one of the gang members: Julie this is Michelle Porter… she’s married to my ex – Bette Porter and this is? Oh, I don’t believe we’ve met? (Wait for Michelle to introduce her). Well, I saw you across the room and thought I would just stop and say hi. Good to meet you (whatever her name is). Julie, I should be getting home. Alice will be bringing Angie home soon. Michelle, I’ll see you on family night? Well, goodnight.
That way… Michelle has to make the next move. By throwing Alice’s name in the mix, it would be a clear indication that the news that Michelle was at the swanky restaurant with whomever would be all over LA by morning. So Michelle needs to make the first move and talk to Bette and soon.

Tough spot to be in for Tina. On one hand, she’s thinking she should mind her business and concentrate on her date. On the other hand, Michelle has more than once gotten smart and loud with Tina, letting her know she can’t stand her. So, it would be so easy to OUT Michelle right now. I think I would take the second hand and speak to her, putting the ball in Michelle’s court, make her uncomfortable about the fact that Tina knows she’s stepping out on Bette.

What a dilemma for TK. Part of me feels like Martha moted – wanting to get back at Michelle for her shitty behavior & the other part thinks like Dumplin – stay out of it.
But Michelle certainly deserves all that’ll come her way. First class bitch all around.
