Michelle scoffs and shakes her head. “See, I try to extend an Olive branch, and you always throw it back in my face, Bette….”
“I’m not throwing anything in your face, Michelle. I’m asking a genuine question…are you coming home at a decent hour tonight?”
Michelle glares at Bette for a beat. “Of course, I am….”
Bette nods and then looks away. “Good then, I guess we’ll talk when you get back….”
“Yeah, I guess we will…” Michelle says as she stands up and storms back into the house.
Bette sighs and then turns her attention back to Angie and Mickey….

The Planet….
Later that night, Tina is sitting at the bar nursing a glass of wine and scrolling through her phone when she looks up and sees Bette walking in. She watches as her ex-wife sits at a table and leans heavily back in her chair. Tina studies Bette’s demeanor for a few beats before she looks away. She takes a few more sips of her wine, then looks over to Bette and sees her nursing a glass of scotch. This time, Bette looks up, and they lock eyes.
Bette gently smiles and tips her glass to Tina. Tina smiles and returns the gesture before they both look away.
About ten minutes later, Tina pays her tab and heads toward the door but stops instead, turns, and walks over to Bette. “Hey, just wanted to speak before I headed out….”
Bette smiles. “Hey, how was your beach day?” She asks, sipping her drink, trying to be as discreet as possible as she notices Tina’s figure-hugging, spaghetti-strap black dress and matching pumps.
Tina chuckles as she shrugs. “It was fine; I mean, I held my breath every time one of those big ass waves swelled to the sky, but other than that, it was fine…. she placed like fifth, I think, so….”
Bette smirks as she sips her scotch. “Hm…. that’s great…”
Tina laughs and tilts her head to the side. “You do know I can see that smart-ass smirk on your face right now, right?”
Bette laughs. “I’m not smirking at all….”
Tina chuckles. “Where are the kids?”
Bette rolls her eyes. “Alice came and kidnapped them earlier, so I’m fully expecting them to be all sugared up when they return…”

I’ve been waiting for this! I’m on the last day of my holiday vacation, I’m wrapping it up with this pt.1 and hopefully a pt. 2 is not too far away.

This is a lovely, wonderful story, I just don’t understand why I can’t access it like I used to… finally resigned…
Tina doesn’t have it easy, on the one hand she doesn’t want to meddle in Bette’s life, but on the other hand she can’t sit idly by in the face of a situation that affects a loved one…
One more time I found the chapter short :) because I want very much to continue reading more and more. Please, I hope the next one come soon :)
I guess if I were Tina, this is one situation in which I simply could not resist getting back at Michelle for all of her public speeches on how much I (Tina) disgust her by being able to laugh and go on with my life. I would have my dinner with Julie and then take Julie over to the table and introduce her to Michelle. You know… come meet one of the gang members: Julie this is Michelle Porter… she’s married to my ex – Bette Porter and this is? Oh, I don’t believe we’ve met? (Wait for Michelle to introduce her). Well, I saw you across the room and thought I would just stop and say hi. Good to meet you (whatever her name is). Julie, I should be getting home. Alice will be bringing Angie home soon. Michelle, I’ll see you on family night? Well, goodnight.
That way… Michelle has to make the next move. By throwing Alice’s name in the mix, it would be a clear indication that the news that Michelle was at the swanky restaurant with whomever would be all over LA by morning. So Michelle needs to make the first move and talk to Bette and soon.

Tough spot to be in for Tina. On one hand, she’s thinking she should mind her business and concentrate on her date. On the other hand, Michelle has more than once gotten smart and loud with Tina, letting her know she can’t stand her. So, it would be so easy to OUT Michelle right now. I think I would take the second hand and speak to her, putting the ball in Michelle’s court, make her uncomfortable about the fact that Tina knows she’s stepping out on Bette.

What a dilemma for TK. Part of me feels like Martha moted – wanting to get back at Michelle for her shitty behavior & the other part thinks like Dumplin – stay out of it.
But Michelle certainly deserves all that’ll come her way. First class bitch all around.
