Planet Terror: Little Shop of Horrors

Lara began to cry. The infected were so close to Alice, and Alice wasn’t running fast enough.

“ALICE, BABY RUN! RUUUUUUUUUUUUN!” Lara struggled to hold her gun steady, but Alice was in her line of fire. The infected were screeching fast up behind her, and Lara couldn’t get a clear shot.

“Noooo, oh gooood, nooooo!” Alice screamed in a panic as she ran. She could literally feel the fingertips of one of the infected on her back as she sprinted, quickly losing momentum.

Screeching and growling followed on her heels as she ran, tears falling down her face. All she could think about was the fact that she was about to die right in front of Lara’s eyes.

Aikane and her group were talking back on the roof, while Bette and Lara drove slowly back to the mall. None had noticed the crisis Alice was in.

At the mall, Helena and Catherine waited together on the roof. They could see far enough in the distance to know that something was wrong, but could not understand why Lara and Bette did not seem to be dealing with it.

    “Alice…” Catherine said quietly. “Hurry…godammit…”

Back below, Bette and Lara leapt out of the car and ran toward their friend.

“ALICE JUMP ASIDE!” Bette shouted, just as the infected grasped Alice by her shirt. She was flung backward, landing neatly in the arms of a large man who immediately tried to chew her arm.

“FUCK….AAAAAAHHHHH…” Alice screamed as she flailed around, trying to keep his teeth and infected face away from her.

Suddenly, a series of rapid and accurate gun shots rang out.  Lara took out two of the infected with her rifle, while Aikane and the others took out the rest.  Bette ran up to Alice, smashing the man holding her with the butt of her gun.

“AAAh, you fucker!” Alice screamed, getting away finally.  She continued to scream and swear at the infected as he screeched and grabbed at her.  Bette held him back with her gun but could not shoot him before Alice reached out and began crushing his face between her hands.  Alice held his head, digging her thumbs into his eyes and screamed continuously as she eventually gouged her thumbs deeply enough to smash through to his brain.  She sobbed, letting go finally, as Lara came up behind her and held her fast.

    1. I just managed to get caught up with this. By all rights, it shouldn’t be half as captivating as it is, since it’s pretty strange…but I fucking LOVE it. I guess that speaks more for my own morbidity than it does anything else, but I’m really enjoying this. I may not make a hell of a lot of sense, but it’s still well done. I’m glad you’re still continuing it.

    2. I thought Al was done for… And although that was quite tastefully done, that’s about all the Tina I want to see in this story. Ace chapter… Now I’ll have to skive some more and read Life Happens. Thanks

    3. Ew, gouging out of eyes, I agree, I thought Al was done for, you’re mischievous when it comes to Tina, but you know that! I’m glad Al’s ok … stop scaring us like that, ok, don’t stop, cos then it wouldn’t be PT, but you know what I mean … grr .. hehe

    4. Un menage a trois? Mon Dieu! Took you long enough, I was considering sending another scolding your way. Death as an existance on an alternate plane? Philosophy on top of schlock horror? Get you, helebette. OK, so what’s the deal with Tina? Is she really from another plane or just the product of dream stuff? Is there a difference between the two? And what’s with the zombies getting stronger and smarter with time?

    5. Quelle nail-biter. I really hope Alice doesn’t end up zombified or dead. Zombification is a natural fit for Jenny, but Alice functions best as a human being. Not to mention that taking her out of the picture would deprive the survivors of some much-needed comic relief. LOVE the shopping-mall setting, with its Dawn of the Dead overtones (original version I hope).
