    The door opened suddenly and Alice went inside, sitting down on top of the bed near Tina’s feet. “You can’t sleep either,” she commented quietly. Tina shook her head and put her head back on the pillow, “I keep getting this feeling that something is wrong but I don’t know if that’s just my worries

    The door opened suddenly and Alice went inside, sitting down on top of the bed near Tina’s feet. “You can’t sleep either,” she commented quietly.

    Tina shook her head and put her head back on the pillow, “I keep getting this feeling that something is wrong but I don’t know if that’s just my worries or my insecurities.”

    Alice stretched next to her friend on the bed and murmured, “I have faith in Bette and I have faith in your love. Get some rest and let’s hope that morning will bring us some better news.”

    Tina took a deep breath and closed her eyes, willing her mind to stop worrying so she will be ready for anything new day will offer.

    Next morning they were seated at the Franklin’s office as he was examining the letter.

    “Where did you find this?” he asked incredulously. “The 19th century letters are pretty rare find, especially in a relatively good condition.”

    “This letter was at the bottom of the chest in my attic among some old newspapers that got damaged the most,” Tina said with conviction, surprising herself how easily she could come up with a lie.

    “Perhaps some weather related causes or humidity, and of course, time. Time sometimes is the enemy of all things, living or dead,” Franklin replied philosophically, holding the letter to the light to examine the damaged area. “Though this part seems to be just a simple ink spill that pretty much destroyed this whole page.”

    “So all is lost and no way to read it?” Tina was on the edge of despair again. She needed to know what Bette was trying to tell her in her last letter. Was it hello or farewell, hope or misery, life or death?

    “Maybe not all of it but there’s a way to restore some of the last paragraph.” Franklin’s words brought back hope. “I can call a specialist to come in today who does our most difficult and unique restorations.”

    “Yes, please,” Tina said with urgency in her voice. “Can he come in right away?”

    Franklin looked at her with curiosity but he felt an excitement as well. As an art lover and expert on certain time periods, he could certainly appreciate such a discovery. He began dialing the office phone and Tina breathed out a sigh of relief. There was still hope.

      So, about the chapter – i must say i never like Helena. In some stories and TLW i hate her, in some stories i indifferent to her. In your story – first option.
      But i hope Bette was not too late and it was her in bed with Tina.

    2. O-M-G!! You made my day. Hell, my entire year. Wonderful update. Such imagination with the entire plot line. Great character arc for Bette. Love, love, love this story. So happy we’ll finally learn how it turns out. No pressure now, but I think a fitting day to post your final chapter is October 18, the 10th anniversary of Chapter 1.

      Wow, it was about time, I honestly was thinking to send you another pm as the last year, asking you for a new chapter; but is fine, I have problems with my time too, jobs are always in the way.

      As Zhenya, I also pray that the one beside Tina is Bette and no the psycho of Helena.

      I hope you could update soon, and write another story later, maybe a little bit shorter because of the time, but I really would like to read more of your stories, this is so good, please, keep writing.

    4. Finally!!! It does not matter to wait a year to read this story because they are so good that it’s worth it, but please finish it before I’m dying to know the end (an ending that many pages). Congratulations and thanks.

      It is now the last day in August 9 days since you posted this Chapter.
      I have done a complete re-read and enjoyed it more, I think, than the first read. although, as a 75 year old, I am a little disturbed that all your Grandma characters seem to be in homes and losing their minds!

      Please, Please post the Final Chapter of this great story this weekend and make my day! Certainly do not wait until October – I love CellaNox but think this a stupid idea! :-)

      This is a great story and I will be sorry to see it end and will be first in line to ask for an Epilogue

    8. Great to see a new chapter of this wonderful story, I’m hoping Bette showed up in the knick of time kicked Helena’s ass and fell asleep waiting for the drug to wear off. They really don’t need this type of crap after all they have been through. PPS
