“Does she interfere in your brothers’ lives as well?” Bette asked respectfully.
“Not so much… well maybe she does in Bill’s case cause he’s also single, but not like in mine… maybe it’s because I’m the only daughter she has, I don’t know… but sometimes she can get on my nerves, like when I was driving them back from Kelly’s wedding… just a bit over a day ago” Tina said smiling again.
“Well I would assume that’s what mothers are for”
“Then my mother is the best at it, I can assure you”
And just like that conversation went back to more neutral topics and just as usual it flew easily and comfortably between them. It was amazing how they could just talk and laugh and challenge each other with every new topic.
It was getting late and they were both realizing that their time together in the solitude of a beach house was coming to an end so when decided to get back they did as slowly as humanly possible for neither of them wanted this perfect holidays to ever end.
Once they were back in the house the sun was comfortably setting on the horizon.
“So what time do you have to work tomorrow?” Bette asked hoping to be able to spend another night with the blonde, even if it would have to be a quiet one.
“Ahhh… reality, I hate it… I should be there at some point in the morning… the earlier the better” Tina said with a really sad expression.
“Do you want to stay the night?” Bette asked with big puppy eyes and Tina softly bit her lower lip.
“Don’t ask me like that please… I can’t… I should get back tonight” The blonde said rather defeated at those last few words.
“I understand… I don’t wanna let you go but… I get it… you should shower before you go” Bette politely offered.
Tina gave it a thought and smiled seductively at the brunette.
“Actually that’s a very good idea” The blonde said as she closed the distance between their bodies, leant forward and placed a very “unethical” kiss on the chef lips. “But I don’t wanna do it alone” She whispered on the brunette’s ear after the kiss was over and right before she started her assault on Bette’s neck.

This is a great story and I really wish that Bette would be totally honest with Tina. She knows shr is falling for her completely and so has Tina fallen for her. Bette just needs to be empkatic about not being hurt by Tina.Although she did mention it, I’m not sure Tina really understood how much pain she would be in if Tina walked away. However I don’t think Tina would walk away even if she is a bit afraid. The difference is if Tina’s family strongly disapproved, especially her mother/ We shall see how it plays out. Great chapter. Thanks.

The holiday is over, it’s back to reality for them… Hopefully neither of them retreats too much and they make time to date. Every time I see you’ve posted, it makes me smile. Thanks for the chapter. :)
