No Beast so Fierce Chapter Two
Everyone turned to look at Dana like she was out of her mind.
"What? What the fuck do I look like I know about…teenage boy wrangling?" Dana demanded. "Most of the boys I dated in high school were only two steps from having vaginas themselves and-and you know what? Fuck it, I’m not apologizing."
Nobody said anything, they just continued to stare.
"Sorry, it’s the full moon and I’m all…antsy and…" Dana finally relented." Are you going to eat that bagel?…"
The rest of the group exchanged worried looks, but remained silent.
"Fuck, I’m such a loser. I hate my life." Dana huffed and then put her head in her hands.
"There, there. It’s okay." Alice looked around at the others and then hesitantly pat/rubbed Dana’s back. "We all go a little crazy sometimes. Even me."
"Especially you." Tina said quietly.
"Especially me." Alice agreed.
Marina chuckled a bit and then turned, preparing to stand up and retake her position manning the counter when she caught sight of someone entering The Planet.
"Oh." Was all Marina said, though nobody heard her. "Tina…is Peter still in school around this time?" She asked. Tina checked her watch.
"Yeah, it’s eleven fifty, I think lunch is just starting. Why?"
Marina gestured to the door, Tina turned and followed her gaze.
"Oh fuck." Tina snarled.
Peter Tasso was practically strutting into the building. Eyeing every female who crossed his path. It was definitely possible to see Tina in his features, though his skin was darker due to a mixture of Mediterranean and Native American heritage from the distant past. It was possible to see the Greco-Roman heritage of all surviving wereboars in his strong nose and the angles of his face. His hair had once been blonde like Tina’s, though it had turned a much darker color after puberty when he had first transformed into his animal, the imposing black boar. He was strongly built, with a bit of a belly though everywhere else he was muscular. He wasn’t particularly attractive young man by any means but he made up for it with confidence and charisma. Everyone liked him. Until they got to know him better.
Peter waved at his mother and approached the table. Dana looked up at him, moaned and continued to sulk.

The chapter summary had me laughing. What a shame that Peter was brought up by his jerk of a father. He’s annoying and arrogant… but he’s also still a teenager. Maybe there’s still hope for him, but he needs someone to smack him down every time he sticks his foot in his mouth. Which he appears to constantly do. I hope Alice and Shane figure out something to help Dana. This story’s different, and pretty enjoyable. Keep up the good work! Cheers :)
