    “Depends on how many layers of clothing I can put on and still walk “

    Bette partially closed the blinds but left them open enough so the light would brighten the room. She returned to bed and pulled Tina close

    “You are cold “ the blonde complained

    “You can warm me up “

    Tina laughed and snuggled tightly up to Bette

    “I am so happy Bette “

    “Me too “

    Tina sighed “I just cannot imagine what would have happened if we hadn’t met up again “

    “Would you have tried to find me ?”

    “It was on my mind – I did want Angie to get to know you “

    “Well its safe to say that I know her now “

    “She’s memorable “

    “This time next month she will have started school “

    “I know – I don’t know how I am going to deal with that “

    “Not as well as her obviously “

    “Getting her shirts and kit has really brought it home to me “

    “She’s going to be fine – duck to water and all that. She’s out going, she can read really well, she can spell a few words – I know that she’s going to do well “

    “Think we’ll be pushy parents ?” Tina said

    “Probably – as long as one of us comes to our senses before we go totally over board I think she’s going to be fine. Anyway – it seems like its going to be a school crammed to the rafters with pushy moms and dads “

    “She is different in ethnic background and her parents “
    “Too much otherness ?” Bette asked

    “Yes “

    “If it doesn’t bother her it shouldn’t bother you and I. This is New York Ti – the most mixed city in the world. She’s going to have kids in her class with a more countries in their family tree than her. As for the sexuality thing I was talking to James about it and a friend of his was telling him that it’s a very popular school for gay couples to send their kids. “

    Tina smiled “That’s good to know “

    “Well as long as you don’t start making eyes at the hot lesbian mommies picking up their kids “ Bette said

    3. Thank you for all the updates, especially this one. NYM is still my favorite out of all of them. I can’t wait to see how Bette handles all her detractors left in CA! Have a fun break.

    4. That wonderful that Bette is going with Tina, I was hoping she would when Tina first said she had to go to LA. I’m still very surprised that Kit has turned her back on Bette and for what reason. Bette didn’t do anything to harm her when she was there for the wedding, unless helena has said something to Kit. At any rate as Bette said, they can all go to hell. She has her family and that is all that is important. One thing I think they should do is tell Angie that Bette is her mother before they go to LA or someone, (Alice), might do it for them. Thanks for posting one of my very favorite stories.
