“I know.” I say.

After a while, we stop dancing and walk back to the bar.

“Hey, I’m sorry for asking you to dance when I was not really… interested. Not that you aren’t beautiful but I like someone else…”I know that it was a lame explanation. “Please don’t be offended.” I say and she smiles.

“No, I understand. I have to admit, I was just trying to make my friend Dana jealous.” She says and winks.

Before I can reply, I hear Henry’s voice. “Wow, Bette, a girlfriend already?” He asks, I can hear he doesn’t mean it very friendly. I see Alice frown at his tone.

“Henry, mind your own business.” I tell him and he scoffs.

“Like your business would even interest me.” He says. “Besides, I don’t believe you are a lesbian. I mean, look at you, you don’t look like one and you sure have not kissed one. I would know.”

Alice bites her lips in frustration and before I can reply, her lips are on mine and my eyes are open in shock before they slowly close and I let myself enjoy the kiss. Then she slowly pulls away before turning to Henry.

“Do you believe her now?” She asks him before she leans in and whispers in my ear: “No problem, kid. You are a good kisser by the way.” Before she walks passed a shocked Henry, I don’t feel good about the ‘kid’ part but she just complimented me so I don’t care. I stand there smirking at him.

“Y… You just kissed a girl.” He says.

I chuckle. “I think that’s the whole point of being a lesbian.” I say and then I look over his shoulder where I see Tina stare at me… do I see hurt in her eyes? She looks away. Then, I see her ordering something and see she gets a beer from the bartender. Damn, she promised me she wouldn’t drink. I walk over but Eric gets in my way.

“So, Henry didn’t lie when he said you are a lezzie, eh?” He grins at me and I roll my eyes.

“No, he didn’t.” I tell him.

I look at Tina. Damn it, her beer is already empty. I think she had some more before this. I can see she is getting too drunk, which Josh likes off course. He doesn’t want anything other than get her in his bed. I push Eric to the side and walk over to Tina. Yes, she has abandoned me tonight but I still don’t want her to end up fucking somewhere with Josh, drunk and giving him her virginity without really thinking about it.
