“Well, Bette, you look very nice tonight.” Eric says, sounding quite flirty and I feel like throwing up. He is even worse than Henry and Josh, at least they don’t hide that they are jerks by covering it up with being sweet like Eric.

“Thanks, Eric.” I say dryly.

“I do think a dress would have looked great on you to.” Henry tells me and I try not to roll my eyes.

“Maybe,” I tell him. “I didn’t feel like wearing that to be honest.”

“I’m going to get something to drink. Do you guys want something?” Eric asks me and his friends

“Are you paying?” I want to know, smiling. If I can get a drink, then I’ll definitely say yes.

“If you give me a kiss then I will pay.” He tells me with a smile and I smirk.

“In your dreams, Pratt.” I say and he sighs.

“Can’t blame me for trying.” He says and then walks to the bar. I look at Tina and Josh, they are still making out. Please, let this torture stop.

“Hey, Bette, I was wondering…” Henry begins and I hold my hand up.

“Henry, save it.” I say.

“Oh, come on, Bette. How many times do I have to ask you out before you’ll say yes?” He wants to know.

“You can keep asking but you’ll never get a yes. I’m not interested.” I tell him.

“Why do you never have a boyfriend? I mean, there are enough boys interested.” Henry lets me know. I sigh. This is getting excruciating.

“Henry, I’m not interested in any of them.” I let him know.

“How is that possible?” He asks me.

I shake my head and don’t answer.

His eyes grow big. “You are gay, aren’t you?”

I am tempted to say no and act offended but I don’t want to act anymore. I have hided who I am for the past 3 years that I’m someone else and I’m tired of it.

“Yes, I am.” I answer.

I know that in a matter of hours, the whole school will know I’m a lesbian. One good thing is: It’s Sunday which means that they have until Monday to recover from the shock. One day should be enough right?
