He laughs.

“What the hell is so funny?” I ask him, kind of upset.

“Come on, you are not gay.” He says, still finding it endlessly funny.

“Henry, I’m a lesbian.” I say and smile at him.

His face falls. “N… No way.”

“Get over it.” I say and shake my head with a smile before walking to the bar.

“Hello.” Someone says and I look to my right. There is a blonde woman standing there with a cute smile. She looks nice.

“Hey.” I say to her.

“I’m Alice. Who are you?” She asks me and I smile.

“Bette.” I answer with a grin.

“Do you want a drink?” She asks me friendly.

“No, thanks.” I say and look at Tina and Josh, giggling and looking like a sweet and in love couple. Uck. I look at the nice blonde and give her a seductive smile; as good as I can manage.

“Do you want to dance?” I ask her and she beams.

“Sure.” She says and we walk to the dance floor. There is an upbeat song playing and we begin to dance, my hands on her waist, holding her loosely and her arms around my neck. I am surprised that there was a woman in this club that was into women also. I mean, no straight girl would ask me to dance right?

“You aren’t 21, are you?” She asks me but the only answer she gets from me is a mysterious smile. I look over her shoulder and I see Tina talking to Josh but I am surprised when she glances my way but quickly turns to her boyfriend again when she notices I have seen it. Alice notices it and sighs.

“You just want to make her jealous.” She states and I look at her.

“Uhh, no.” I say.

“Hey, it’s okay.” She says. “Do you like her?”

“Yeah, I do.” I say to her.

“You should go for it.”

“She is straight.”

“Oh, well, my gaydar says something different.” Alice says and laughs and I grin.

“Mine to.” I chuckle.

“The boyfriend seems an ass.” She tells me.

“He is an ass.” I tell the blonde.

“Yeah, the way he treats her is wrong. A few minutes ago he was flirting with my friend and now he is all over her.” She says.
