    THIS STORY INFLUENCED BY SEASON 2 SPOILERS. This chapter is dedicated to Melissa Etheridge.

    Bette replayed a time from the beginning of her relationship with Tina. It was about two weeks after they’d first made love, and Tina was exploring what it meant to be a ***** by reading every book or article she could on the subject and then reciting bits to Bette.

    ”Bette, did you know that homosexuals were part of the Holocaust and were persecuted along with the Jews?” Tina asked Bette incredulously. “How come I never heard about that in history class?” she questioned while reading Before Stonewall: ***** Men and Lesbians in History.

    ”Bette, maybe I’m naive, but what the heck does transgendered mean?” Tina asked after reading an article on The Sexual Spectrum.

    ”Bette, did you know that Provincetown in Massachusetts is an almost entirely ***** town in the summertime?” Tina queried after reading The ***** Travel Guide.

    One morning while reading The Joy of ***** *****, Tina called out to Bette in the kitchen, “Hey babe, did you know that a woman’s breast is 35% more sensitive when her arms are above her head than when they are down at the side?”

    ”No they are not!” laughed Bette coming into the bedroom carrying two steaming coffee mugs. “Show me where it says that,” Bette demanded, sitting next to her lover on the bed.

    ”Right here, read it for yourself,” said Tina, handing over the book while simultaneously reaching for her coffee.

    ”Just as I thought,” Bette said, shaking her head, “no footnotes, no scientific study cited, Tina this is mere speculation on the part of a horny writer.”

    ”No independently verified double-blind study, huh,” said Tina, getting a devilish look on her face. “Maybe we need to conduct some experiments of our own.”

    ”Double-blind, I don’t like the sound of that,” replied Bette with a skeptical look on her face.

    ”Well it is in the name of science babe,” said Tina while lifting Bette’s tank top over her head and lying her down on the bed. “Now subject A, I’d like you to keep your hands to your side during the first part of our experiment,” Tina instructed.

    ”Yes, professor, I think I can do that,” smiled Bette as Tina leaned over and gently began running her tongue over Bette’s beautiful ***** and chest. Tina started flicking Bette’s nipple with her tongue, softly at first, but becoming rougher and harder with each pass.

    4. I hope that your second job is as a firefighter,cause this chapter is burning up the screen. Come on Tina put out this fire,poor Bette has been third degreed. NO MORE TORTURE! Well maybe just a little moore,but not much.. This was Wonderful,come again soon..

    5. Sorry for confusing some of you! Yes, you may have read this before. I posted this chapter late last year. It was the first fan fiction I’d ever attempted, and didn’t even think that I would develop it further. I then wrote the 8 chapters leading up to this segment. I posted this one again, because if I skipped it new readers might have been lost. Hope that clears it all up! Thanks for the wonderful comments! Maureen.

    8. Wow that was so beautiful. It was fun and sasy, and definatiely hot. However you really felt Bette’s loss and Tina’s confusion. Amazing and so well written.

    10. Readers, I think it was a stand alone piece originally and she has built this story around this piece. So now it has become one of many chapters. Horray for us! Awesome writing!
