    Author Notes:

    Tina’s first time in a Gay bar; first time meeting Alice and the first time slow dancing with Bette…oh, the visions in her head!!

     

    “Tina, are you okay?   Do you want to leave?”

     

    ***** no, I don’t want to leave.  I like being here and being here with you.

     

    “No, no, of course not.”

     

    Just then Bette spotted Alice coming towards them.  Oh, *****, don’t blow this for me Alice.

     

    “Well, Porter, didn’t know you’d be dancing tonightand my, my, it looks like Fredrica has found her Ginger.  Do you think you can do everything Bette can do but backwards?”  Alice looked at Tina and smiled ear to ear.

     

    “II’ll certainly try.”

     

    “Alice, cut it.    Sorry, Tina.  Tina, this is Alice Pieszecki.  Better known as  Al, ‘insert foot in mouth, chew vigorously’ Pieszecki.”

     

    “Haven’t seen you here before, Tina.  New in town?” Alice asked in the inquisitive way only Alice could.

     

    “Well, in this town I guess you could say that.”  Tina replied.  Tina caught on to Alice pretty quickly.  And Alice had no way of knowing that Tina was fairly adept at repartee and she doubted that Alice caught the double entendre in her answer.   Two can play the game, Ms. Pieszecki.

     

    Just then a slow song came on, the lights got even lower.

     

    “Al, anybody else here with you tonight?” Bette gave Alice a cold, hard stare.

     

    “Oh, yeah, Shane and Dana and”

     

    “They might be missing your company right now, don’t you think?“

     

    “Nah, they’re doing fine without.”

     

    “Alice, do I have to make myself any clearer?” Bette narrowed her eyes and that meant only one thing – move on or prepare for the consequences.

     

    Alice got the message.  She was about to be Porter-slammed, an experience she could well live without.

     

    “Oh, yeah, I think I see Shane waving me over.”  But she couldn’t resist one more little jab.   “Hope you get really lucky and Porter shows you the hottest place in town, Tina.”

     

    Bette stepped slightly forward and Alice took off – fast.

     

    “I’m sorry, T.  She’s often incorrigible.”

     

    “I like her, Bette. No problem.  I’m the new face so I’m expecting it.”

     

    “Would you like to dance with me, Tina?”

     

    “I’ve never – Yes.  Yes, I would.”  Now, this is another first for me but I want to hold this woman – I want her to hold me.

    22. This story is so cute and just makes me say “awwwwwwww!” Yet at the same time it’s so hot that I’m really wishing I wasn’t at work right now. Four hours to go…

    24. That was just so beautiful. Beautifully thought out nd written. To add that final spark of romanticism to this story, do yourself a favor and read it while listening to Kenny G’s, fong “Falling In the Moonlight” no. 8 on his Paradise cd. The music and the story go hand in hand. Right now it is killing me not to be with someone I care about. Please try this you will not regret it. Listen to the music while reading this story.     25. I don’t understand what IC is thinking sometimes. B&T can be together and we’ll still understand that life isn’t a fairy tale. Let them have each other to go thru the hard times together. ‘Foever Place’ is right. Great story. I’m counting on it to get me thru the sad times in season 3.
