    Tina and Bette have a little “proposal” lovin’ but the creepy creeps aren’t very far away…

     

    “Whether it’s next week or next year, we will have a wedding.  I am on the same path as you.  Over the years with my father’s looming presence in my psyche, it’s been difficult for me to trust or to even let go completely.   Look at the battle that erupted in my mind when you proposed!  The difference you have made is you won’t let me use excuses; you make me look the issue in the face.  I can’t retreat as I’ve always have.  And so you know, I don’t feel pressured.  Yes, this has happened astoundingly fast.  We both know that.  But we both know this is real.  My ghosts of memory are real, too, Tina.  Continue to do what you did today.  When the little devils rise up, keep reminding me they no longer have carte blanche to rule my emotions.”

     

    Tina leaned in and placed a sweet, affirming kiss on her lover’s lips.

     

    “I will, Baby.”  Tina glanced at the clock beside the bed.   “Now, I have got to get going so stay away from the shower while I’m in there….please, promise me!”

     

    “I promise, baby.”

     

    Tina raised one eyebrow. 

     

    “No, really, T.  I’ll be a good girl.”

     

    “That, my dear, is the problem.  You are always good.”  

     

    Bette watched as Tina headed to the bathroom.  Her eyes took in Tina’s golden hair, the smoothness of her skin, that delightful way her back curved and her hips moved as she walked.   How freakin’ lucky am I?  She thought.

     

    Tina reached the bathroom door and turned her head to look back towards the bed.  “I know you’re looking at me, Bette.  Just so you know, I think I’m pretty lucky, too.”  Then off to the shower she went.

     

     

    Bette held good to her promise.  Tina’s job was way too important…umm, the thought of their earlier lovemaking drifted through her mind’s eye….when the shrill ring of Tina’s house phone broke her dreamy state.

     

     

    Bette didn’t think she should answer it so she just let it go to her voice mail. 

     

    “Tina, it’s me – you know, that man you said you loved once.  Come on, dear, can’t we let bygones be bygones and be civil to one another?  To have done the things we did together and not at least share a hi, how the hell are ya, been thinking ‘bout you…Look I was an ass…come on, baby, give me a call.  I have the same cell number.  Take care of your beautiful self…I’ll always love you….”

    2. i am agree with the others maybe there are people that didn’t have anything better to do than it! but you story since the beginning is wonderful i like it so much and i missed a lot when you stoped for a while because i enjoy so much reading it. to me this is more than 5 starts!

    3. Don’t worry about the ratings issuse. Really there is no issue, I can not for the life of me imagine anyone, and I mean anyone rating this story less than a 10. If so, then they’re ……. guess I’d better leave that alone. Wonderful story update Rene and keep doing what you are doing, it’s all great. You do have the gift of writing and thank you so much for sharing it with us. You really should be published. I don’t know what you do for a living but you should be among the published and prolific writers of our time. I mean this sincerely. Thank you.

    7. Acreextl, More mystery and intrigue as this tale continue. Who is this new character and what hold or place in Tina’s past does he hold. I loved the way that Bette and Tina were able to share their true emotions about one another and their path together with each other. The speed and depth of their relationship both surprises and strengthens their resolve to share everything. More please soon as am on edge of my seat waiting to have this conundrum revealed.     16. Jealousie has a lot to do with the rating. They just wish they could write a tenth as good as you. Every once in a while they crawl out of their holes and do dirty things to hurt good people. Now we need to worry about Bette some more. Lets hope Bette is wise enough to Keep looking for the bad in people. thanks

    17. If you go back and look at a lot of older stories, you will see that the usually high rated stories have fallen in stars. Irritating? Yes! Accurate? No! Hope to get another chapter from you soon. Thanks for writing!
