    Tina is at a crossroad. Does she go towards Bette? Did Fate and Destiny make a terrible mistake? Drama lurking…

     

    “Andhow does that make you feel now, Tina?  Are you no longer on top of the world?  Is your heart no longer smiling?”

     

    “YesNoI feel awfulas if I’ve now disappointed and shamed one of the most important people in my life.Damn it!“

     

    “Baby, from the time we are toddlers through adolescence and then adulthood – it seems no matter how old we are, we strive to please our family, especially our folks.  After all, didn’t they give us life? Don’t we owe them?  How dare we disappoint them with being an individual with thoughts and feelings of our own.  It seems every time we do something that is uniquely our own that may differ in the minutest way with their way of thinking or belief, we stop and for a brief nanosecond say to ourselves, “What would they think?”  For many of us, it’s a hard task, almost insurmountable, to overcome and push aside what their personal judgments may be.  After all, didn’t they give us life? Don’t we owe them?

     

    “No one can make your decisions or choices in life for you, especially when it comes to matters of the heart.  Only we, ourselves, can do that.  Often times because it is a matter of the heart, it involves the most difficult decisions.”

     

    “I know, Bette.  She just made it all so dirty and disgusting.”  Tina looked up and into Bette’s eyes.  “I don’t feel like that, Bette.  I want you to know that. Telling me she’s ashamed of me is what hurts the most.”

     

    Bette got up and got one of the dining room chairs, placed it in front of Tina, sat down and placed her hands on Tina’s knees.

     

    “Tina, understand that she’s frightened for you.  Of course, she could have said that in a much nicer way, but most straight peopleespecially parents, cannot imagine their children having sex in the first place.  It doesn’t matter how old you are.  You are still her daughter.  She sees the daughter meeting the knight in shining armor, the beautiful wedding, the grandchildren, the

    ‘happy ever after.’  Yet they still don’t hone in on the S-E-X.   All those things – well, not the knight – are possible being a Lesbian in a committed relationship EXCEPT when you mention Lesbian or Gay, they all immediately focus on the S-E-X.  It’s like that is absolutely all we queers do is have sex all day long and in every place imaginable.  Forget work, forget that you have to eat, pay bills, clean the house and all the other sometimes mundane things in life that straight couples do.  Somehow if you’re gay, in their minds, we’re exempt from what the ‘normal’ people do.”

    4. Arceextl,I am right beside you in dreamland. This fantasy is so much more gratifying than the depression that Season 3 brings. How can you dismiss nearly 9 years of your life with someone as if it was an old pair of socks ready for the goodwill bag? I adore this story and am now very intrigued to read what will happen next? Who exactly is this new character? Is Tina in danger given her high profile job that necessiates putting bad people in prison? Please continue soon as I am on the edge of my seat and ready to fall off. Your Loyal Fan.PS most appreciative to have this haven to escape into.

    5. this chapter made me shaky…i’m sort of hoping for the right decision from tina, but i’m scared for that guy, i think he’s after tina because she’s on this drug case…i hope she won’t get hurt, or get amnesia, or get cancer or get killed or get kidnapped or say no to bette or any other crap that keeps happening to our beloved B&T in many other stories…keep them alive and together, please

    17. OMG….what a cliffy!!!!! You can’t let us wait long for Tinas answer PLEASE :o))….I don’t like that guy, he is definitely bad news, but Bette will be there too save Tina, I know it!!! LOL

    20. RC..great update. Looks like the drug dealer’s case is going to get up close and personal with Tina and Bette. Somehow, the guy is going to use information from the check-in book (BPorter) to get to Tina. Bette did the right thing in being there for Tina and then leaving. Tina needs to make this decision without feeling obligated to Bette being there. RC..that was really get dialogue between B & T. Thanks for the update, please continue.
