“Yes BETTE” Meghan said rather enthusiastically. “WOW I can’t believe this” she said walking around and leaning against the wall.
“Believe what?” Bette laughed as she rummaged through her bag.
“You…me…here…you…here…me…here…you…” Megan rambled.
“Yeah ok, I get it” smiled Bette.
“Wow” Meghan said softly as she slid to the floor.
“You ok?” Bette chuckled.
“Yeah, perfect. I swear I’m your biggest fan” Meghan said jumping up again.
“Oh are you now?”
“YES! I love your Earth-Water song. It’s my utter favourite” Meghan said clenching her chest.
“Oh well it was a big hit” Bette laughed
“I swear I have all your music” Meghan said proudly.
“Well in that case…since you are obviously my biggest fan, how would you like to come to a show” Bette said turning to Meghan and taking the set of tickets out of her back pocket.
“WHAT?! Are you serious?” Meghan said.
“Yeah, why not? You and your mum can be my special guests, I’ll get you back stage passes too” Bette smiled at the child’s obvious enthusiasm.
“My mum?…OH you mean Tina!” Meghan laughed.
“Yeah…” Bette said looking rather confused.
“She’s too cool to be my mum, she’s my aunt!” Meghan laughed even more causing Bette to chuckle as well at this new tidbit of information.
Just then Tina came back into the room with a bright pink toolbox. “What’s so funny guys?” Tina asked as she placed the box beside the toilet.
“Besides from that pink toolbox?” Bette teased.
“Yes besides from my rather stylish toolbox” Tina said with a roll of her eyes.
“Bette thought you were my mum!” Meghan said bursting out into laughter again.
Bette looked away as she began to blush at her mistake.
“Ah don’t worry, everyone thinks that” Tina said softly as she placed a reassuring hand on Bette’s shoulder. “It’s because she likes to follow me around because I’m sooo darn cool” Tina laughed as she gave Meghan a wink.
“YES the coolest aunt ever that will let me go to a concert” Meghan smiled her most innocent and sweet smile.
“What are you talking about Meghan” Tina laughed.
“Please, Bette has tickets for us” Meghan said walking over and taking the tickets from Bette to show Tina.
Tina took the tickets from Meghan “I don’t know…Sanitizer, I haven’t even heard of them. Are they one of those rock bands?” Tina asked looking over the tickets.
“Well…yeah…” Bette smiled.
“I don’t know, you are awfully young Meghan, maybe in a couple years” Tina said. “Thank you anyways,” Tina said attempting to hand the tickets back to Bette.
“Well maybe you would like to still come” Bette said directly towards Tina.
“Oh no, I’m not really into rock music.”
“OH please Aunt Tina, can we go?! I promise to be good!!” Meghan begged trying to figure a way to outwit her cunning Aunt.
“Megan….” Tina scolded.
“Please, it’s the best band in the world!”
“Is that so?” Bette chuckled causing Meghan to blush.
“Please…” Meghan asked looking at Tina with big puppy eyes.
Tina merely looked down at the tickets and then back at Meghan.
“Look, why don’t you just hang on to those” Bette said “Maybe you’ll change your mind, then you can always go.”
“Oh I don’t want to take your tickets” Tina said trying to hand the tickets back.
“No worries, I’m sure I can rustle up some more” Bette said with a wink towards Meghan, “Okay, shall we get back to this toilet?” Bette smiled as she knelt down beside the canister.
“Oh you don’t have to worry about that..,” Tina began.
“Don’t worry ma’am, I’ll have this fixed lickety-split” Bette said in her manly voice causing Tina to burst out laughing again.
One cup of tea and one fixed toilet later, the three ladies said their goodbyes before Bette turned and walked out of sight down the street.
“OH MY GOSH Aunt Tina, she’s the coolest person in the world!” Meghan said flopping down into on of the waiting room seats.
“We just had a running toilet, it wasn’t the end of the world” Tina laughed walking over to the reception desk. “But yes, she is pretty cool” Tina smiled.
Just then Alice came barging into the dental office “I’m being STALKED!!” Alice yelled as she rushed around to shut all the curtains.

It’s good that Tina likes Bette for who she is and not what she does. I am guessing that Alice is the mom of the adorible 12 year old who just loves bette’ music, so maybe she will be a little m,ore selective about what she writes about the band when she finds out Tina loves oops I mean likes Bette. Back stage passes yea meet the band, got cosy, learn a little bit about each other. Can’t wait for the next chapter.
Meghan’s reaction reminds me of how I WASN’T star-struck as a child. Now, however…well, at least I’m not as bad as people who go completely bonkers. PPS! xD

On second thought, if you can learn American Sign Language (in a few hours) fom the internet, you can probably learn plumbing too. LOL !!

Meghan is such a teenager, but so sweet… Hmmm, so Tina didn’t get that Bette would be on stage… Interesting… That end with Alice was priceless, I can totally picture her going frantic about whatever… Please more soon. Aw, come on they gotta go. Love the niece. Wait till Meghan tells Alice that Bette Porter was there and gave them concert tickets.
I hope that Megan can talk Tina into going to the concert. It should be very interesting especially when Alice realizes that Tina has tickets to the concert.

Still think its hilarious that Tina doesn’t “get” who Bette is yet.. however, I think that is for the best. She likes her because she is sweet and funny.. ohh and lets hope she doesn’t forget how hot Bette is. But its definitely not because Bette is some big star. Can’t wait for more. PPS.
