    Dana has the reconstruction, Bette and Tina find a way to bond, Shane turns to an old friend and Helena and Lara’s first date is…eventful. (And that’s just a typical Friday!)

    “I do. Thank you.” Tina said. The uneasiness between them was killing her.

    “Look,” Bette took charge. “I know we have a boatload of crap to deal with, but we’ve got to figure out a way to be comfortable with each other for Angelica’s sake. Can I interest you in a glass of wine and some video on demand?”

    “Something to help us relax, mixed with something to keep us from having to talk,” Tina observed, causing Bette to break into a genuine smile with her for the first time in a year. “Could work. Red or white?”

    “Red, of course. I’ve changed, but not that much. I do have a nice white in the fridge though.”

    Looking back, both Bette and Tina would remember this evening, spent bonding for their daughter’s sake, as a significant turning point in their relationship.

    “I’m no shrink,” Beth said after Shane finally finished pouring her heart out, “but do you, in your heart of hearts, believe that Carmen would turn to Jenny and that Jenny would betray your friendship?”

    “I know Carmen wants to hurt me and she and Jenny used to go out, so, yeah, I think it’s possible.”

    “And what does Dr. Lynch say?” Shane was silent. “You have talked about this, haven’t you?” Still no reply. “And the dime drops. You skipped your appointment and came here.”

    “You’ve known me longer and you’re the only one who ever thought that I might be worthwhile somewhere under all this shit.”

    “You’ve just named a half dozen people whom you consider to be your family,” Beth was having none of it. “Family love is unconditional.”

    “Not my biological family…”

    “Shane your parents are both very damaged people. Even though they made horrible choices and hurt you deeply, you are not beyond repair,” Beth took hold of her hands and looked into her eyes. “They were the adults. It was their job to protect you and they failed miserably. Anything you did to survive was just that. Survival. Nothing they did and nothing you did makes you unworthy of love.”

    “But I’m a total fuck-up, just like them.”

    “That’s a very convenient excuse. For all of your philosophies about monogamy and personal freedoms, the truth is that keeping your pants zipped and abusing drugs are choices, at least in the beginning. You do have control over yourself – we all do – and the sooner we take full responsibility for our choices and behavior, the better.”

    1. I have to admit, I was not sure I would Helena and Lara together, but wow somehow I really really like it. Loved Alice’s calendar too…I think if I imagined my own S3 and s4, this is how it would go…good stuff

    3. Great update. I really enjoyed it. Dana and Alice are so adorable together it makes me get one of those “big goofy Dana grins” when I read it. I loved the calendar part. It made me laugh. That is totally something that Alice would do. I’m glad that everything went well with Dana’s surgery. I can’t wait for more. Oh…I live in New York but I was in L.A. for over a week, so I hadn’t read anything here in that amount of time. I just finally got all caught up with everything…I think. Anyway, great job. I’m loving it.

    4. awwwwwwwwww…i can’t believe i like the idea of lara and helena so much. at first it was hard to picture but i really think they make a good match. bette and tina are doing decently, good for them. and i love dana and alice, three weeks cant come soon enough!

    5. Lara and Helena, I liked their date, it started with disaster, but ended very nice, lol. And Alice was as usual her adorable self. I loved the calender and the big heart marking the special day to come. Very sweet. :)

    7. That was a sweet update. I didn’t think I would like Helene and Lara so much. But it’s starting to grow on me! As for the Danish part, that was just great. They are so sweet and in love. And of course the calender part was amazing. Looking forward to the next update!

This was great…I can see Lara & Helena (especially if Helena is away from Bette) It’s nice to see Bette & Tina taking it slow (even though On Demand surfing is another word for foreplay…lol) The part with Alice & Dana was good…I wish it had happened that way on the show…they didn’t have to kill her off, I have my fingers crossed that it turns out to be a dream on the show. Please post soon.

    11. I’m really enjoying this story Sammy. I usually don’t care too much for the other characters. I mean they are cool and all, but I am obsessed with Danish, so great job because I am actually enjoying the rest of the storylines as well :D Keep up the great work my friend! Looking forward to the next chapter.

    13. Helena and Lara….hmmm…I like it! Never thought of it, but it works and it was hot. Very funny at the ballpark. AND, I am so happy that everything went well for Dana and that she is recovering with Alice’s help and sense of humor. ( I still don’t know how I’m going to watch S4 without Dana) Bette and Tina trying to get along for Angelica’s sake and hopefully will find each other along the way. Post again soon.
