Love Revisited – Coming Home Part 82 The End
Previously….
The tree’s leaves blew in the breeze. Several leaves landed on the cold, hard cement bench. The tree and the bench didn’t have their visitor return today. Neither did the headstone that sat twenty feet away. Now, no one will be visiting Faye Buckley’s gravejust the wind and the leaves.
Twenty-four years in the future:
They had been there for several hours now. All the stories had been told. Several of the girls had stopped by and joined in the retelling. They laughed and cried. It really was quite unbelievable all the events that happened over the years, especially those ‘high drama’ years. But then they knew they had to leave, so these three women could have their time together.
“Those were some times, weren’t they? So much drama – ***** Drama Queens! But we have so many great memories, many more than the not so great. The friends we have and the friends we made along the way, too. Nancy Richardson and Susan and Dawn. And how can we forget Kelly Barrett! And how we loved – Oh, how we loved one another. We even managed to embarrass Angelica a few times. You know, we probably should have written this stuff down. What a book it would make. Wait,
She leaned over and placed a kiss on the still warm lips of her lover. Then lowered her head onto her chest; silently praying and willing the now stilled heart to beat once more. Maybe if she just stays here long enough and prays hard enough, it will begin beating again. Her tears fell once more. She didn’t know how because she had cried so much, she couldn’t imagine there were any more tears left inside her.
She felt a hand on her shoulder, a gentle but firm, directing touch.
“Mom, we probably should go. They need to take her now.”
Angelica gently lifted her mother up and drew her in for a hug. She had seen her moms over the years go through all the emotions that couples go through. These two women, her mothers, always came back to love.

Great story and I CAN NOT BELIEVE YOUO ENDED IT THIS WAY. FICTIONAL CHARACTERS DON’T HAVE TO DIE, AT LEAST WE DO NOT HAVE TO ACKNOWLEDGE IT. Which one died anyway, Angelica usually called Tina Mommy and Bette Mom, now which was it?

RC. I don’t comment often on this site, but you inspire me. This has been an incredible journey to be a silent voyeur in. You have moved me to tears in laughter and in the pain your muses had to undergo. You have depicted the truest love imaginable, and one we all hope to achieve in our lives. And as for no names in the finale, well, when you love that much, you both die when one heart stops beating. I hope to continue reading your inspirations, peace to you.
wow what a ending to a beautiful story and i’ve read it from begining to the end sorry my heart is just stunned and it;s hard ti=o tpye for the tears just wowed us please think of another story soon- you and your story has got me thro many days when i feel i need my friends-the writers good job girl!!
i look really stupid seating home alone and crying over this final chapter…this is really beautiful and you right it would be devistating no matter what, B&T love is so great and i hope we’ll hear another wonderful story from you soon…i wish it wasn’t the end though because i hate to see either of them hurt or dead, but it was written beautifully, thanks

The ending may be sad, because of the death of one of our ladies;however, the journey continues. Thank you for creating and sharing such a wonderful story that captured our hearts, minds, and souls. My God. This has always been a great story, so much drama and intrigue, but in no way was I expecting this ending. There only characters in a story, but are they really. The diffence is that we’ve all seen Tina and Bette, we know that look that exists between them, the love that generates any time those two get near each other. To have that or to have experienced it, OMG is more than any one person could ask for. Thus, this is why we all, well most of us feel so sad, its like we lost a part of us. And it not only takes words but a fantastic writer to put those words together to make that happen. And that would be you. Awesome, can’t wait for your next story, but please set out with the goal of keeping them both alive, in love, and together.
My computer’s up and running and I’m finally able to finish your story! I’m glad that Helena got her just desserts, but what a way to go. Diane Buckley definitely came out of nowhere. I hope that Susan ended up being alright. Ahh this is so sad, rc, but quite a fitting ending to your story. I’m glad that B&T had 33 years together. I hope that you get a story idea soon. Im probably late!butOHMYGOD!I just discovered this story, a couple days ago, and finally got to the end. AMAZING! This story has been an amazin from start to finish, so many twists, and I loved how u just brought helena, candace, and other back in. I sooo did not see the susan plot!, that was amazin, so all this time, she was actually helpin out tibette, amazing! this is definatly one of the best!

OMG!!! I never expected this type of ending to your story. I’m sitting here reading your story with my mouth open, with goose bumps all over and my heart breaking, just thinking how could either one of them be dead. In my mind they will live forever. I can’t or won’t even believe this would happen. Bette & Tina forever!!! Their love lives on 4ever!!!!!!!!!!

RC, as always, you are one hell of a writer and a great storyteller; so if I must be the first to say this, then here it goes….this finale depressed the hell out of me and I am so sorry I didnt stop reading at the end of chapter 81. If I had thought for 1 moment that you would have 86’d either one of them, I wouldnt have clicked “next post!”

Word fail me in this, my own, moment of grief and loss.
I feel like I have lost a good friend and confidante. I did feel slighted by the lack of a name but understand and admire your decision.
I do hope that this bereavement won’t be for long as I am sure that the intervening 24 yours will have multitudes of tales to be told.
After some rest and recuperated the voices will start again and direct you to a story desperate to be shared.
You are a talented writer with a real flair for mystery and intrigue. I have often scratched my head in frustration while trying to work out the next puzzle.

i just finished this story i was a great journey…i am sad and crying now but not because one of them passed. that is a fact of life. i am crying because all of us girls dream of having a love like bette and tina in this story and so few of us find it. im crying because of my lost love the greatest love i have ever known its been a year since we were together and i am hoping for a reunion like the one in this story. i am crying because i know deep in my heart that it is not to be….great story i loved it…thanks for sharing
