Hey, mama Bette’s home early!! Come on, take me, rub my tummyyeah, okayI’m all clean…honest! I left the ***** for mommy Tsee! Don’t I smell good!
“Okay, we get early quality time, baby girl.” Bette is rubbing her tummy and kissing her. Angelica has a good grip on a handful of Bette’s hair and is quite happy about it.
“Too bad she isn’t glad to see you.”
“Yeah, let’s hope she’s like this when she’s eighteen.” Bette laughs. She looks at Tina after saying this because they both know when she’s eighteen their years together would be over twenty-five.
“I’m sure she will be until the both of us start reminding her of all the times we had to wipe her butt.”
Tina watched as Bette took Angie and sat in the big chair with her. She knew the two-way conversation was coming.
“Okay, Angie, here’s the scoop.” Bette is now whispering to Angelica. “I want you and Auntie Shane to keep a close watch on any ladies that come near your mommy T, okay? You mean I can be like a deputy watchin’ out for the bad ladies? Yep, I’m going to deputize the both of you.” Oooh, mommy, me and Auntie Shane can beat the *****”
“Bette Porter, what are you telling that child?”
“Nothing. Just things between us. Right, Angelica? Okay, mom. Do I get like a badge and a cowboy hat and a six shooter? Maybe a pony, too? Please, a Pinto, please! Umm, we better leave the six-shooter out of it. You can be the official lookout and Auntie Shane can be the one to take care of business, know what I mean? Oh, goodie. Okay, I’m on it, mom. Maybe you should get me my own cell phone, you know, in case I have to make quick contact with Auntie ShaneYes, that is a good idea.“
“Bette, I hear every word you’re saying. Now, stop it.” Tina couldn’t help but laugh. Deputize a three month old
It’s so easy to decompress while I’m sitting here. I can just think quietly with no one around. Not many people that know me would even be able to picture me sitting here doing nothing but thinking. Definitely not my character or personality. Most people – no, not most people – no people see me share emotions.

RC…that was great! Tina shouldn’t so easily dismiss her instincts. She “knows” something isn’t right about Susan…she should go with her feelings. Love that Shane will come to the rescue. Equally loved that Bette had a discussion with Susan. I don’t think we’ve seen the total capacity of the Porter Scare…and that could be scary. LOL. Bette will do anything to protect Tina & Angelica. I’m glad Bette talked to Tina about Peggy’s offer…it’s always good to talk things through. RC…love your story. The drama is thickening…let’s hope the outcome is very good for Bette & Tina. ;-)

As Shane would say, “so f&%king cute.” I am enjoying this story and having Shane as a protector is very good. I so wish Tina would take serious note of her instinct about Susan and tell Bette what she is thinking and why. Alice needs to know so that she can do her own investigating, she has an eerie feeling also. Love the story. The plot thickens.

Wonderful chapter, its nice to see some drama was avoided, or rather abruptly haulted once Mama Bette got home. I’m glad to see Peggy is willing to be there for Bette and her family, but the thought of Hellena finding out these plans seems much too strong. Please post again soon.
