Love Revisited – Coming Home Part 66

Hands encircled her waist tightly and startled her. She didn’t hear someone come up behind her. What the fuckshe stiffened immediately, grabbed a plate from the sink – not the best weapon she thought, but it’s something – and started to turnadrenalin starting to pump throughout her bodyvisions of what happened with Helena flashed before her eyesplease not again
Tina whipped around as fast as she was able to being held by somebody and with as much purchase on the swing of a plate she could muster.
“WHAT THE ***** ARE YOU – hey!” Tina yelled.
Shane ran as fast as she could over to Bette & Tina’s – her eyes were focused on their front door and nothing else. She came bounding in. “Tina! Are you okay?” Shane stopped short.
Bette felt the hard twist of Tina’s body and got her left arm up in the nick of time as she saw the blur of something circular coming at her head.
“WHOA!!” Hey, T, I snuck out after a late lunch and wanted to surprise you. Looks like I did more than that – I’m sorry that I frightened you. What is that, a .38 caliber plate?”
“I’m sorry, baby. I was just scared because I didn’t expect you home and then felt arms around me and my mind just went into ‘you know who’ mode andShane! It’s okay. Really, it is.”
Bette didn’t hear the last several words that Tina said. Her eyes immediately narrowed and she turned her gaze to the backyard. A dark curtain of anger passed over her face.
“T, what’s going on? The only other person here is Susan. Did she come on to you? I’ll ***** rip her heart out of her chest if she“
“No, no, she didn’t. I just wasn’t expecting you and then to feel arms around me, I jumped to the same conclusion, too.”
Bette’s posture and expression relaxed – just a bit – she turned and saw Shane standing there watching them.
“Shane, thanks for coming over. Looks like everything is okay.” Bette said to their friend.

RC…that was great! Tina shouldn’t so easily dismiss her instincts. She “knows” something isn’t right about Susan…she should go with her feelings. Love that Shane will come to the rescue. Equally loved that Bette had a discussion with Susan. I don’t think we’ve seen the total capacity of the Porter Scare…and that could be scary. LOL. Bette will do anything to protect Tina & Angelica. I’m glad Bette talked to Tina about Peggy’s offer…it’s always good to talk things through. RC…love your story. The drama is thickening…let’s hope the outcome is very good for Bette & Tina. ;-)

As Shane would say, “so f&%king cute.” I am enjoying this story and having Shane as a protector is very good. I so wish Tina would take serious note of her instinct about Susan and tell Bette what she is thinking and why. Alice needs to know so that she can do her own investigating, she has an eerie feeling also. Love the story. The plot thickens.

Wonderful chapter, its nice to see some drama was avoided, or rather abruptly haulted once Mama Bette got home. I’m glad to see Peggy is willing to be there for Bette and her family, but the thought of Hellena finding out these plans seems much too strong. Please post again soon.
