‘Maybe I do talk about other women too much.’
“You’re right B……..I’m sorry.” Tina said. She waited for what seemed like 5 minutes just listening to Bette’s breathing normalize. She knows Bette is trying to calm down before she responds.
“I accept your apology T. Have you arranged your campus yet?”
Tina knows Bette is still a little hurt but she’s trying to let it go.
“Yes. I’m coming up this Friday. I’ll be there for your game on Saturday against UCLA.”
“That’s great. I can’t wait to see you.”
“B?”
“Tina, I have to go. I need to read over my notes from Global studies. I have test in a couple of days.”
“Babe……….Bette?”
“Yes T.”
“Are we ok?”
“Are we T?”
“Babe please don’t be mad. I’m sorry if I made you feel like I don’t trust you. It’s just that..”
“I know T.” Bette interrupted what was sure to be a popular refrain that Bette knows well. She knows it is hard for both of them being apart and most times Bette just brushes off the blonds comments about other women. If Bette were really honest with herself and her lover, she would admit that does let the thought creep into her mind. She certainly has many options coming her way on a regular basis. Then she thinks about the one that has her heart and she knows she could never do anything to hurt her.
“Look, I understand it’s hard for you. It’s hard for me too. I am human T. Of course I see attractive women around, but I am in love with you so they mean nothing to me. I just wished that I could ease your mind, so you didn’t worry so much about losing me.”
“See Bette, that’s where you’re wrong. I’m not worried about losing you. I’m worried about you slipping up with some chick.”
“So you think I can just fuck some other woman?”
“I would hope you wouldn’t B, but you’re human. You said it yourself.”
“Would you be able to forgive me if I did?”
“Bette, what do you mean? Did you fuck some trick?”
“What?! T of course not!”
“Why are you asking me if I could forgive you?”
“It was a hypothetical to see where your head is at. I guess I have my answer. Bye T. I have to go.” Bette ended the call before she said something she would regret. She felt as though Tina was just pretending to be a supportive girlfriend, while waiting for the other shoe to drop.
‘If I’m going to be made to do the time, maybe I should do the crime’.
She scrolled through her phone and she found the one she was looking for.
“Hi, it’s Bette.”
“………”
“Yeah, the one that plays for Stanford. Would you like some company?”
“……..”
“I’ll meet you at the club in 10 minutes.”

Yikes! The trials and tribulations of young love, I suppose. Distance and absence seem to be taking their toll on both of them… Bette has plenty of time to stop herself from doing anything stupid, though. Thanks for the post. :)

Until then Tina was understandable when Bette admits advances of Ariana, not wanting to push her away (chapter 56), so I do not blame Tina for being worried. — Bette hung up the call before saying something she would regret it, but apparently is not worried about something that she wants to do???!!!. Does she believe that Tina will forgive her??, I do not believe. I honestly I’d rather they finish the dating before breaking the heart of another. — Still would like to see Bette in the same situation :). Thank you. – moreeeee.
Bette please stop pretending to be a faithful girlfriend. Seriously it’s like hearing Mitt Romney speak about what he wants to do for America, knowing he’s so full of shit. And like Romney blaming Obama for the recession that was already in occurring, Bette will say that Tina was the one who brought it on herself. Once a cheat always a cheat. On the real note, these would’ve broken up by now because of their personalities. LDR’S don’t last, at least not this long for these particular types. No offense but they seem wishy washy and not strong enough to me. Thanks for the post ✊😃
Oh,oh…so this is how it goes?….man…hope Bette just chilled out..and…don’t do that she might regret later. …I know it’s tough to hear that?..like Tina’s just waiting for her to screwed up?..But can she blamed her?… …thanks for the update and hope our girls do figured it out.
