Chapter 58:
Tina has taken her SAT exam and she feels pretty good about it. She wants to get at least a 1200 to give her good chance at an academic scholarship. She may need it if she does not get a full athletic scholarship.
She is getting ready for bed when her phone rings. She smiles when she sees Bette’s face.
“Hey babe.”
“Hey sexy. How are you?”
“Fine.” She sings into the phone, anticipating the next line.
“I didn’t ask how you look. I asked how you feeling.”
“Oh, I’m in love with such a charmer.” Tina said giggling.
“Yes you are, but I only unleash my power on my beloved.”
“Mmmm….and what sweet power it is. I’m so lucky to be loved by you.”
“Oh baby, I’m the lucky one. I have a gorgeous, loving, sexy, intelligent, athletic, beautiful lover, and she’s all mine.”
“Thanks babe. Back at you sweetie.”
“So have you picked a date for your visit to campus?”
“Yup. I coming to visit the weekend you guys play Tennessee.”
“Oh good. That’s in a couple of weeks. I can’t wait to see you. I told coach the team could save money if you could stay with me, but she didn’t go for it.”
“You think?” Tina said laughing.
“No dice mon.” Bette said in her best fake Jamaican accent.
“That’s ok. While I would love to stay with you and have my way with you, it may not be the best thing. I might get spoiled.”
“What’s wrong with me spoiling you? I like taking care you.”
“I love taking care of you too. I just don’t want to get to used to the idea of us playing together again.”
“I understand babe. I know this place is expensive, plus USC has a great film department. While I would love for you to come here, I know it would be hard if you don’t get a full scholarship. Hey did you get your SAT score back yet?”
“Now you know you would be the first person I will tell after my parents right? I should hear soon though.”
“Do you think you did well?”
“I think I did pretty good.”
“So are you visiting USC before or after, you come here?”

Yikes! The trials and tribulations of young love, I suppose. Distance and absence seem to be taking their toll on both of them… Bette has plenty of time to stop herself from doing anything stupid, though. Thanks for the post. :)

Until then Tina was understandable when Bette admits advances of Ariana, not wanting to push her away (chapter 56), so I do not blame Tina for being worried. — Bette hung up the call before saying something she would regret it, but apparently is not worried about something that she wants to do???!!!. Does she believe that Tina will forgive her??, I do not believe. I honestly I’d rather they finish the dating before breaking the heart of another. — Still would like to see Bette in the same situation :). Thank you. – moreeeee.
Bette please stop pretending to be a faithful girlfriend. Seriously it’s like hearing Mitt Romney speak about what he wants to do for America, knowing he’s so full of shit. And like Romney blaming Obama for the recession that was already in occurring, Bette will say that Tina was the one who brought it on herself. Once a cheat always a cheat. On the real note, these would’ve broken up by now because of their personalities. LDR’S don’t last, at least not this long for these particular types. No offense but they seem wishy washy and not strong enough to me. Thanks for the post ✊😃
Oh,oh…so this is how it goes?….man…hope Bette just chilled out..and…don’t do that she might regret later. …I know it’s tough to hear that?..like Tina’s just waiting for her to screwed up?..But can she blamed her?… …thanks for the update and hope our girls do figured it out.
