Alice – yeah I am, Is angelica with you or are we picking her up on the way.

Dana – we are picking her up

Alice – ok let me get Jake away from the TV and we can get going, do you have time for a coffee or tea?

Dana – well yes, cos to tell you the truth al, I wasn’t sure if you’d be ready – she says smirking – I mean I thought, what’s the chance of 2 Pieszecki’s being ready on time.

Alice – Very funny Dane, but true, but I think Jake is a little excited because he came and woke me up this morning at 6.30, I think he likes you Dane

They walk through into the kitchen and Alice makes a cup of coffee and they sit at the table, there’s an awkward silence for a minute. Dana Is looking around the room, at her feet and ceiling but not at Alice – get a grip of yourself Fairbanks its only Alice .

Dana – so your renting then al, it’s a nice house

Alice – yeah its ok, its plenty big enough for the two us.

Dana – so how much stuff you got arriving on Saturday

Alice – i’m joking, not that much really just some boxes of jakes stuff, books, cd’s that I need, and some of the usual crap that people collect. i’ve left a lot of it in London, a friend is looking after my apartment while we’re here.

Dana – so how long are you going to be here al. I thought you were back for good.

Alice – well I have quite a few assignments to do for a magazine, but i’m also here to do some work with will on his next album so we figured it would probably be for about 6 – 9 months.

Dana – trying to stay calm – so when you’re finished your going back to London

Alice – yeah, I have a home there Dana, I like it there. The weathers shit but you kinda get used to it.
