Alex – Alice where the fuck have you been hiding

Alice – hey Alex, not hiding just been back to LA for a bit

Alex – well its good to have you home darling

Alice – its good to be home

Alice – oh this is Dana, Dana this is Alex, Lucy’s ex

Alex – ah the famous Miss Fairbanks, nice to meet you,

Dana – nice to meet you too.

Alex – so I guess Lucy went running off to you then

Alice – yes she did and she was heartbroken

Alex – Lucy heartbroken I’ll believe that when I see it darling, she’s as bad as me.

Alice – that’s why you two were perfect for eachother – she says laughing

Alex – anyway less of the ex, come over to the table and say hi

They made their way over to the table in the corner, Alex went to the bar whilst Alice said hi and hugged her friends.

There was Sarah, the long suffering girlfriend of Rachael, Rachael was a lovely girl but a hypochondriac which drove everyone nuts especially Sarah.  Then there was Sam resident man hating lesbian who was sat next to graham the campest gay man on the planet.  It never ceased to amaze everyone how these two were the best of friends, they were just like a little old married couple and fought terribly.  Next was Donna and Michael the only what seemed to be sane  people in the group of friends. A few others came and went as the evening went by very quickly and successfully, before too long, after several big hugs and goodbyes the two women hailed a cab and made their way home exhausted.

Alice was awake early the following morning as her meeting was in the centre of town at 9.30am.  Dana to had woken early and was downstairs making coffee whilst Alice got ready.

Alice ate her breakfast drank her coffee and worried frantically about her appearance, after 10 minutes of Dana telling her she looked fabulous she finally made her way to the door.

Alice – right this is it, are you sure you are going to be ok here this morning, I should be back about 1
