Alice had finished her shopping and decided to grab some lunch also, she walked into the planet on the same mission as Dana to find a friendly sympathetic ear and maybe gain some good advice.  She stood at the counter deciding on what to order when her cell rang.

Alice – hello

Lucy – hey Al its me Lucy

Alice – Oh hello you, so did you get lucky last night

Lucy – you could say that

Alice – anyone I know?

Lucy – look I’ll tell you all about it later, I gotta go I just wanted you to know I was still alive and kicking, I’m on my way home now so see you soon yeah.

Alice – ok, I’ll see you soon, oh and don’t forget Will and Jake are home today

Lucy – cool cant wait to see my gorgeous nephew, see you later bye Al

Alice smirked as she closed her phone and placed it back into her bag.  She scanned the coffee shop and saw Dana sat in the corner, she wasn’t sure whether she should go over and say hi, but Dana spotted her and smiled so she couldn’t sneak away unnoticed.  Alice just grabbed a bottle of water and made her way over to the table.

Alice – Hi

Dana – Hi

Alice looked at her friend, she saw sadness in her eyes, she looked so tired and drained like she hadn’t slept at all.

Alice – I don’t mean to be rude Dane but you look like shit!

Dana – thanks! I didn’t sleep to good last night that’s all

Alice – Oh

Dana – you on the other hand Al look amazing

Alice – thank you, I slept like a baby, I have no idea why people say that I really don’t , I mean babies sleep patterns are just shit! When Jake was a baby he woke me up every two hours I was completely exhausted – Alice paused she knew she was rambling, not one of her most attractive qualities she thought.

Dana smiled at Alice knowing that when Alice rambled it was because she was nervous.
