Bette: “Jay, did he hurt you?” (Tears running down her own face)
Jay: “He covered my mouth and started touching me I tried to get away but he was too strong” (Crying uncontrollably)
Tina:” Sweetheart why didn’t you tell us?” (Both her and Bette held Jay tight in there arms all them crying)
Jay: “I was embarrassed”
Bette: “Sweetie we have to contact the police, you do know that don’t you?”
Jay: “Mum, I can’t talk about it… I keep seeing it in my head.”
The Next Day
(Jay has just woke up when the doctor comes in)
Doctor: “It’s time to transfer Jay”
Jay: “Transfer me where?” (Looking at his Mums)
Doctor: “Jay you are being put in to a unit to help you for a few weeks”(looking straight at Jay)
Jay: “No I’m not my Mums won’t let you”
Tina: “Jay it’s only for a few weeks”
Jay: “Mum, no I’m fine”
(Bette leaves the room she can’t stay in the room any longer)
Jay: “MOM!!!” (Shouting after Bette)
(Bette keeps walking she is now crying uncontrollably)
Tina: “Jay I’m sorry”(with tears running down her face)
Jay: “I can’t believe you’re doing this (crying) I HATE YOU!!!!”
(Hearing those words are like a knife being driven into Tina’s heart. She can’t take it anymore. She leaves as well as they start to restrain Jay)
Jay: “MUM!!!!!!!!”
(Tina leave’s the hospital in tears. She sees Bette hunched in a corner outside with her head in her hands. She gets on her knees and pulls Bette into a hug)
Back at Home
(Bette and Tina are sitting on the sofa holding each other in tears when Chloe and Carmen come in. Chloe and Carmen rush over)
Chloe: “What’s wrong?”
Tina: “It’s Jay” (still crying Carmen sits down next to Tina and pulls her into a hug)
Chloe: “What about Jay?” (Standing up with fear in her eyes. Bette stands up too)
Bette: “Sweetie Jay’s been sent to a psychiatric unit for a few weeks”
Chloe: “What? Why? Jay’s not a Psycho”
Bette: “Sweetie, he took some pills in an attempt to kill himself” (starting to cry)
Chloe: “When?” (Looking at Bette with tears in her eyes. Tina now stands up too)
Tina: “Last Night”
Chloe: “LAST NIGHT AND YOU DIDN’T TELL ME UNTIL NOW?!!!”
Tina: “Sweetheart we didn’t want to worry you”
Chloe: “Why did he try to do this?”
Bette: “In Spain, Jay was abused by the owner of the skateboard shop” (Tears still running down her face)
(Carmen covers her mouth)
Chloe: “NO!!! Jay would have told me we talk, he tells me everything”
Tina: “We only found out last night sweetie he never told anyone”
Chloe: “WHY DID YOU NOT COME AND GET ME LAST NIGHT, HE’S MY BROTHER!!!!” (crying uncontrollably)
(Tina goes to hug Chloe, but she pushes her away)
Chloe: “No, just leave me alone” (Chloe runs out)
Carmen: “I’ll go catch her” (Turning to run after Chloe)
(Tina and Bette break down again in each others arms)

It would be hard for me to stay off of a plane to Spain. They should have told Chloe when it happen Now they have two upset teenagers. That is bad. thanks

Great Story, but difficult to read at times. Sometimes death seems to be the only way out. Sometimes it is too dark inside and too hard to reach out for help. I hope that Jay is able to pull himself together and realizes that his love ones will always be there for him.
Great chapter, while I agree with the treatment. Since he DID open up and tell his parents what happened, I feel that he needs to be in contact with them in order for him to get thru this. It was a VERY BAD deciision for B&T to let their 2 teenage children to venture out into Spain (a foriegn country) by themselves. It doesn’t need to be coupled by a BAD decision here. They seem to have a close knit family and it will take some time for Jay to forgive them for this seperation, not to mention Chole. I know some=times as a parent you have to show tuff love, but not in this case.
I really have a problem with B&T leaving Spanish soil without addressing what was wrong with Jay especially on the helds of what happen with Chole and how they found out about. Jay needs help but he also needs the love and suppotr of his family. He should not be locked away from his family for a week with NO contact with them because he has already open up to them. Please continue.
Well, I see one of my guess’ sadly was correct. Hopefully as a family they will talk and get through this time in their lives. I also feel Tina and Bette needs to go back to Spain, for some justice.
Another comment-since he told them what happened to him, I see some commentors don’t feel that it was still necessary to leave him at the hospital with the therapist, but remember he tried to kill hinself he still needs help.

My first thought was correct then. :( Jay definitely needs help since this almost ate him up inside. I’m not sure I agree with B&T not telling Chloe until the next day though.
Sad ,poor Jay .It should be easy for the kids to talk totheir moms,they’ve got the coolest and kindestmoms in the world.Hope jay will be alright and Bette and Tina will get that bastard,do that to a kid who trust you what a world.post soon please i can’t wait to read the next
OMG this is serious stuff….but why all this BIG TIME drama, can’t we just have light drama…..Poor Jay, he is such a sweet boy – Bette is gonna kill that shop owner right?? More please….
