Jay: “No, you can’t, I’m not a psycho and my Mums aren’t going anywhere”
Psychiatrist: “Jay no one is saying you’re a psycho and your Mums can stay if you want”
Psychiatrist: “Can you tell me why you tried to harm yourself?” (Looking at Jay)
(The psychiatrist asks more questions Jay answer’s none of them)
Psychiatrist: (Looking at Bette and Tina) “Can I talk to you outside for a minute?”
(Bette and Tina go outside with the psychiatrist)
Psychiatrist: “I think it would be best if we section Jay in one of our Psychiatric units for his own safety”
Tina: “Is that really necessary?”
Psychiatrist: “Well right now yes. You have a very unhappy boy in there who need’s help. We will transfer him tomorrow”
Bette: “What will we tell him? For how long?” (With tears in her eyes)
Psychiatrist: “I wouldn’t tell him anything till tomorrow. He needs to stay calm. He could be there for a while. On the first week there is no family contact allowed”
Bette: “What! Are you telling us we can’t see our son for a week? I’m sorry, but that’s not happening” (Getting angry)
Tina: “Bette (turning to the psychiatrist) Thank you” (The psychiatrist smiles then leaves)
Bette: “T what we going to say to Chloe”(Crying)
Tina: (Tina hugs Bette) “The truth.”
(After a few minutes Bette and Tina walk back into the room.)
Jay’s room
(Bette and Tina go to each side of the bed again)
Jay: “Mum I’m sorry” (crying)
Tina: “Sweetie, don’t be sorry, just tell us what’s going on”
Jay: “I can’t”
Bette: “Sweetheart you can tell us whatever you want… Are you in trouble” (looking down at Jay)
Jay: “No”
Tina: “Did something happen in Spain?”(Jay looks away)
Bette: “Jay what happened?”
Jay; “I can’t tell you”
Tina: “Jay look at me, (Jay doesn’t look) LOOK AT ME!!(Jay looks this time) What happened? We need to know.”
(Bette sits down next to Jay, so does Tina, they both take one of his hands)
Jay: “In Spain, when Chloe and I split up to go into different shops, I went to the skateboard shop. I was looking at some boards when this guy came over, he seemed cool. He was the owner of the shop and he asked if I wanted to come in the back to see the latest model. He seemed cool so I agreed” (Crying)

It would be hard for me to stay off of a plane to Spain. They should have told Chloe when it happen Now they have two upset teenagers. That is bad. thanks

Great Story, but difficult to read at times. Sometimes death seems to be the only way out. Sometimes it is too dark inside and too hard to reach out for help. I hope that Jay is able to pull himself together and realizes that his love ones will always be there for him.
Great chapter, while I agree with the treatment. Since he DID open up and tell his parents what happened, I feel that he needs to be in contact with them in order for him to get thru this. It was a VERY BAD deciision for B&T to let their 2 teenage children to venture out into Spain (a foriegn country) by themselves. It doesn’t need to be coupled by a BAD decision here. They seem to have a close knit family and it will take some time for Jay to forgive them for this seperation, not to mention Chole. I know some=times as a parent you have to show tuff love, but not in this case.
I really have a problem with B&T leaving Spanish soil without addressing what was wrong with Jay especially on the helds of what happen with Chole and how they found out about. Jay needs help but he also needs the love and suppotr of his family. He should not be locked away from his family for a week with NO contact with them because he has already open up to them. Please continue.
Well, I see one of my guess’ sadly was correct. Hopefully as a family they will talk and get through this time in their lives. I also feel Tina and Bette needs to go back to Spain, for some justice.
Another comment-since he told them what happened to him, I see some commentors don’t feel that it was still necessary to leave him at the hospital with the therapist, but remember he tried to kill hinself he still needs help.

My first thought was correct then. :( Jay definitely needs help since this almost ate him up inside. I’m not sure I agree with B&T not telling Chloe until the next day though.
Sad ,poor Jay .It should be easy for the kids to talk totheir moms,they’ve got the coolest and kindestmoms in the world.Hope jay will be alright and Bette and Tina will get that bastard,do that to a kid who trust you what a world.post soon please i can’t wait to read the next
OMG this is serious stuff….but why all this BIG TIME drama, can’t we just have light drama…..Poor Jay, he is such a sweet boy – Bette is gonna kill that shop owner right?? More please….
