Jess and Tina walked in. Bette was holding Ian and Kit was holding Teddy. Carter and Belle sat on the couch and Kelly was playing on the floor with Jacob.

“Sorry we didn’t know that you were coming today.” Tina said walking in. She sat Jess’s bat bag down in the corner.

“That’s all right we weren’t supposed to come until tomorrow but we were talking with Belle and Carter and we felt that it might be better to talk to all of you together. Seeing as how the girls want to stay together.” Lilly said.

“Tina this is John. He is here representing the school.” Bette said. Tina shook his hand.

“They want the girls to come play for Chasteen.” Bette said.

“I know.” Tina said.

“Wait how do you know?” Bette asked.

“I told her this afternoon at practice.” Carter said.

“Okay so what are we talking about?” Tina asked.

“Well we are prepared to let the girls continue with a self-paced program if that is what you want.” John said.

“All of the girls will be doing a self-paced program. That way we can travel to games and tournaments.” Lilly said.

“Okay.” Bette said.

“Jess and Kelly would be receiving scholarships.” John said.

“I am going to lay Teddy down, and get out of here.” Kit said.

“Okay thanks again Kit.” Tina said. Bette walked back into the bedroom and put Teddy down with Ian. Kit left.

“Lilly why should we pull Jess out of the Raven program?” Bette asked. “They have been great for Jess.”

“Well Bette they have taken Jess and Kelly as far as they can. Jess and Kelly, Carla and Maggie have been carrying the team. If they are going to be serious players then Chasteen is the place for them to be.” Lilly said.

“Carla and Maggie are already registered for the fall. We would love for Jess and Kelly to join them.” John said. Jacob started to cry. Carter picked him. Jess and Kelly sat on the floor leaning against the couch next to Tina.

“Kelly and Jess are the best pitcher and catcher in the area for their age. They would be a great asset to the team.” Lilly said.
