Life with Mom and Tina Ch 29

“Big Sister blues huh.” Carter said. Tina nodded yes. “Kelly went through it last year when we had Jacob. Don’t worry it will pass.” Jess and Kelly got in the car and shut the door.

    That Afternoon..

Tina sat in the stands with some of the other parents. The team were having batting practice.

“Jess and Kelly are the perfect pitcher catcher team.” Jim said

“Yeah if we can just keep both of them away from the Chasteen school. We might actually have a chance. ” Bob said

“Hey I wouldn’t mind if the whole team went.” Jim said

“What is that?” Tina asked Carter.

“The Chasteen school is one of the best schools in the area, both academically and athletically.” Carter said.

“Why would Jim and Bob want to keep Kelly and Jess away from them.” Tina asked.

“You missed the last meeting. Chasteen is getting ready to start a JV. Softball team. A recruiter from the school was at the game yesterday and he is interested in some of our players.” Carter said.

    “Which ones?” Tina asked.

“Well Jess and Kelly for starters. I think Carla, Maggie, Nikki and Anna. I am not sure about any of the others.” Carter said.

“Oh those are the ones about to move up to the Jr. Team. ” Tina said.

“Yeah. They are also looking at some of the girls from the Cougars and Lizards.” Carter said.

“Jess grab a bat.” Olivia yelled from the side line. Jess ran into the dugout and returned shortly free of her catchers equipment.

“How do you know that?” Tina asked sitting up to get a better view.

“He called last night. He is coming to the house tonight to discuss the options if we decide that Chasteen is the best place for Kelly.” Carter said.

“Well if Kelly goes Jess is going to want to go. Are you guys considering it?” Tina asked. Jess stepped into the batters box.

“We are. It is closer to us and to you guys, and they go all the way through high school. So she will be able to finish there.” Carter asked.

“Yeah Jess this is their last year at Grace. Maybe it wouldn’t be such a bad thing.” Tina said not taking her eyes off of Jess. Jess nailed and sent the ball to the back wall. “Whoa. I didn’t know that she could do that.”

    1. “Please Mama.” Jess begged giving Tina the face that Tina had never been able to say no to. Gee I wonder which parent Jess got THAT look from? LOL Hmmm why does this school sound too good to be true? I’m really curious as to how a school that sounds near perfect is so cheap compared to the other schools. Although if Bette had originally wanted Jess to go there it probably is a good school. I’m just a little skeptical. Oh and the Blob reminded me of the movie Heavyweights. Weeeeeeeeee!

    2. A new school for Jess, this will be good cause she will spend more time playing. I really like the way that Tina and Bette handled the situation with Jess and the twins. great chapter post soon
