"Nope." Alice shook her head to the side, shooting down Tina’s assumption with just one word. "She doesn’t know a thing." She smiled cryptically. Knowing how Bette’s mind worked, Alice had an inkling that their Type-A leader had already planned something for Tina ages ago. So she was sure that their brash actions this afternoon put a damper on Porter’s well laid out plans.

"Which is sorta bad since Bette likes to keep on top of things.." Shane added with a grimace. "So we are so dead.." She laughed, motioning to her friend and reaching out to shake Alice a little.

"We are." Alice nodded seriously before breaking out into a huge grin.

"So why did you guys do it then?" Tina asked curiously as she too began to smile.

Shane shrugged. "We wanted to surprise Bette and in some way.. uh.. help her out a little.."

"Help? In what way?" Tina asked in confusion. How could kidnapping her possibly help Porter?

Alice silently regarded the blonde before speaking up, choosing her words carefully. "You know Bette.. is not a bad person.." She said slowly.

Tina laughed a little at this. "I’ve been hearing that a lot this week.." She smiled, remembering Helena and Sam saying the exact same thing.

"Because it’s the truth.." Shane answered seriously, cutting in. "You know, Bette is not the type of person who would openly show her good traits – the soft side of her personality and her caring nature.." She explained. "..but she seems to be doing that a lot lately." She continued, thoughtful.

Alice nodded her head in agreement. The changes that they saw in their leader were staggering – and the transformation was happening in such a short time too. "And she’s really becoming a better person.." She added. "No pretensions, no acts.. what she has been showing you lately is real."

Tina looked out the window, trying to absorb what Alice and Shane had just shared. "Why are you guys telling me this?" She asked softly, watching the other cars beside them.

"To help Bette out." Shane answered, repeating her previous statement. "She’s trying really hard and we just want to make sure that her efforts do not come to waste." She continued. She and Alice felt that Tina still harbored doubts about Bette, which caused her to disregard and not appreciate their friend’s actions as of late. They took it upon themselves to do something about it.
