“Well Tina same here. Although I feel like I already know you…Kit talks about you all the time..You must be one hell of a woman if you can put the dean here in her place!”
Tina laughed saying “I’ll see you both at 7”
“Guys don’t take this the wrong way but we’ll give tonight a miss, and catch you tomorrow”
“What Kit means (Angus said with a wink) is that she wants to reclaim me, she was getting a bit jealous as I have only had eyes for one girl for the past 24 hours…and it wasn’t Kit”
“Yeah..I have a feeling my niece is going to have that effect on a lot of guys in the future!..She’ll give both of you a run for your money in the hot stakes!”
With that comment they said farewell then drove off, the recently reunited couple entered Tina’s house hand in hand
“Ready to meet your daughter honey?”
“Yes…Tee I’m nervous. I have butterflies” Tina squeezed Bette’s hand in re-assurance, as they walked over to the crib. Tina placed a kiss on the sleeping baby’s head
Bette just stared at her daughter in awe, tears welling up in her eyes. Tina slipped behind the brunette then placed her arms around the beauty’s waist, then quietly said “Looks like she’s not quite ready to meet her other Mama yet”
“Tee…she’s..so beautiful… just like her mommy” The couple brushed lips then just stood in silence staring at the sleeping tot for a few minutes, then Tina broke the quiet
“Babe I’m just gonna grab a shower, will you’ll be okay for 15 minutes?”
“Yeah sure…do you mind if I have one after, and get a loan of some fresh clothes?”
“No problem Baby”
Once Tina had left the room, the brunette stood there drinking in her daughter…this little bundle lost in sleep…so vulnerable…so innocent. Bette was itching to pick her up and kiss and hug her, but instead she leaned over the crib and ran her hand over the babe’s cheek, then caressed her shiny black curls, the mocha was overwhelmed with the sight before her, she felt a immediate urge to love and protect this child with everything in her. Bette began to speak to Angie in her dulcet tones

Great chapter and funny also. Alice will be Alice, no matter where she is or what she hears. Poor Bette, Alice will never let go of that evening and poor Tina, Bette did not reciprocate and Tina was left hanging. Maybe Bette can correct the error of her ways tonight. PPS
