    The next day…

     

    Tina: I’ll find something

     

    Bette: Well good luck I think I have water and baking sodalets see what you make with that

     

    Tina: You’ll be surprised

     

     Bette scurried off to the bathroom leaving Tina rummaging through Bette’s cabinetsShe was very nervous to tell Bette her news and hadn’t thought of a good way to tell hershe figured when the time was right it would come out

     

    25 minutes later

     

    Bette walked out of the bedroom wearing a crisp white collared shirt that contrasted her mocha skinmaking her look radiantShe looked slim and ***** in her tailored pants.  Tina looked at her and it took her breath away. She was starting to regret not taking that shower

     

    Bette: My goodness! Pancakeshow did you pull this one together

     

    Tina: I told you with Baking soda and water, anything can happen

     

    Bette’s face twisted in disgust, and Tina laughed

     

    Tina: I’m kiddingyou had the mix very far on the back shelfdirections said just add water so

     

    Bette: Don’t scare me like that

     

    Tina: Couldn’t help ityour face was priceless

     

    The girls sat down and began eating breakfast. It was a bit of a silence for awhile as Tina tried thinking of ways to break the news to Bette. Bette didn’t seem to notice about Tina’s mood because she was to consumed with eating the food set out in front of her.

     

    Bette: It’s been awhile since I’ve had pancakes from home

     

    Tina: How long babe

     

    Bette: I don’t know maybe when I was a teenager

     

    Tina: How in the world have you not made yourself something to eat in over 15 years.

     

    Bette: I didn’t say I haven’t made my self things to eatit’s just they what I have made always has a black tint to it so I make it but don’t eat it

     

    Tina laughed. It was a nervous laughter thoughHer stomach was tied in a knotshe figured it was now or never

     

    Tina: Babe

     

    Bette looked up from her plate

     

    Bette: Yes Tee?

     

    Tina sighedtook a deep breathopened her mouth to speak but the phone rang

     

    Bette: Now I bet that’s Franklin, or James.

    10. Mean while Bette was about to 4 blocks away when she suddenly slammed on her breaks.
      The two words I’m late were reverberating through her mind over and over….
      The significance of those two words suddenly had a tremendous effect on Bette….

      I knew that Bette would eventually figure it out; too bad her mind was so preoccupied at home.
      Is it me, or is Tina’s mom a pain in the ass?

    27. Bette, Bette, Bette, “I’m Late” duh. Porter if its not sex then your minds on work. I can just imagine she stopped dead in traffic. I hope Tina doesn’t say anything to her mom, who has got to buzz off, and definitly not to Eric. He dosen’t have to know. Please let Bette be okay with this, even though she’s not sure, may be its just the stress of it all and she’s not pregnant, that would be good right now. Can’t wait for more.
