Is it a bad time?
no now’s perfectokay I’m ready.
“Bette” I whisper.I pausetake a deep breathI exhale”I’m late”
I wait for her response.
Nothing but shallow breathingit fell on deaf ears.she has fallen asleep
Bette awoke firstShe was still on top of Tina, their legs and arms intertwined with another. She lay there relaxing on top of Tinalistening to the rhythmic breathing and just enjoying the comfort of being in her loves arms.
Last night when Bette had awoken, it worried her that Tina was not in her bed. She had a brief flashback to the previous time they had slept together and Tina had left. She was quite relieved to see Tina on the couch even though she had been crying
Bette had a big day ahead of her but she wanted nothing more than to sit and lay around all day, but she had to get up.it was the night of the show. Bette sighed, usually this day would excite her but today it only saddened her. It would mean too much time at the CAC and absolutely no time with Tina.
Bette: Might as well start the day off right though
She picked her head up and kissed Tina lightly on the cheekthen the nosethen her eyes.she took her hand and gently caressed Tina’s face urging her to wake up.Tina stirred slightly

Bette smiled kissed Tina’s neck and put her head back downputting her hands underneath Tina and squeezing hergiving her a hug as best as she could
Bette: Baby I don’t want to go to work
Tina smiled.
Tina: And why is that?
Bette: Because I want to be a couch potato and watch a certain movie over and over and over
Tina: Well I can’t let that happen I’m going to have to confiscate that tape.
Bette: That’s only because your not working today so your going to be the couch potato and watch it over and over. Don’t think I don’t know you teeYour not trying to help meYour looking out for yourself
Tina laughed. Bette’s tone was so convincing almost as if she was hurt.

for a yale grad, Bette sure takes some time to put 2 and 2 together…LOL!!! OK so u say Tina being pregnant will add some drama to the story…. how ’bout T losing the baby????? It’s 2 soon in their relationship 4 a pregnancy (I think) any who PLEASE DON’T TAKE SOOOOOOOO LONG B4 POSTING!!!!!!

wow Bette is truely not paying attention to Tina. lmao when she stops in traffice realizing what “i’m late” really means. i can see Tina pacing in the house wonder how she will tell Bette the news at the same time it pops into Bette’s head. good to see Tina told her mom she broke up with Eric. cant wait to her her mothers reaction. great story nyc.

It’s funny and kind of sad at the same time……
Mean while Bette was about to 4 blocks away when she suddenly slammed on her breaks.
The two words I’m late were reverberating through her mind over and over….
The significance of those two words suddenly had a tremendous effect on Bette….
I knew that Bette would eventually figure it out; too bad her mind was so preoccupied at home.
Is it me, or is Tina’s mom a pain in the ass?
Tina’s mom is a total pain in the ass….and at this stage in life…she needs to get her own life….Pls don’t make us wait too long for the next post…your really not being very nice right now!!!
Okay, I’m ready for that other post, you mentioned! (smile) Oh, please don’t let Bette start to pull away again, and go off and try and find whoever, to take her mind off of Tina. Wonder if Bette has anything witty to say now. Well, I hope they can maintain some sense of humor, as they work thru this. More, please!

I can’t believe it took Porter that long to figure it out, but at least she finally did. I can dig Tina being “straight” forward with her mom too. But her mom needs to cop a clue and stay out of Tina’s personal life. Lovin’ this story…more please

Bette, Bette, Bette, “I’m Late” duh. Porter if its not sex then your minds on work. I can just imagine she stopped dead in traffic. I hope Tina doesn’t say anything to her mom, who has got to buzz off, and definitly not to Eric. He dosen’t have to know. Please let Bette be okay with this, even though she’s not sure, may be its just the stress of it all and she’s not pregnant, that would be good right now. Can’t wait for more.
