“Much improved, T.”
“Glad you approve.”
“It still needs some work.”
“I love that perfectionism,” Tina smiled at Bette. She then abruptly jumped off of Bette’s lap. “But practice will have to wait until tonight!”
Just a few minutes later Angelica had spilled her juice box on her T-shirt just before she and Bette were to leave the house and Bette had been delayed by the necessary wardrobe revision. She had walked down the hallway of the Arts Building as quickly as could be done in 4-inch Louboutins and rushed past James’ desk into her own office, “I need you to get me…”
James jumped from his desk to follow Bette so that he wouldn’t miss any part of his boss’s instructions.
Bette continued to speak as she switched her computer on, emptied her briefcase, readying her desk for the day, “…the complete lyrics for every songs on this list, separate sheet of paper for each.”
Bette pulled Tina’s sheet from the papers she had just removed from her briefcase and handed it to James. “I need a recording of each of these songs. Simple. Traditional. Not improvisations. Try Crosby.”
She looked at James, “Bing Crosby, not David. Perry Como, Andy Williams.”
She handed her IPad to James.
James remained still looking at the list. He smiled, “The songs for the caroling?”
Bette sighed. “Songs. Not carols. I don’t see how it is caroling if there are no carols.”

‘C’mon, Bette. You guys are my friends and all of us are coming.”
Bette nodded in acknowledgment of Alice’s statement.
“But Tasha’s got some of her friends coming.” Said encouragingly.
“A couple of people from the salon,” Shane offered.
Alice poked the skinny brunette in the ribs, “Shaney, get some of your legion of fans to come.”
Bette perked up, “Could you?”
Shane squirmed, “I don’t know guys. Asking them for something, I mean, other than that, is not in the code.”
“Jesus, Shane. You don’t have to ask when you’re fucking them. Just spread around the word that you’ll be there. Your fans will follow.”
While Shane could easily ignore Alice, she was trapped by Bette’s hopeful expression. “I’ll try.”

That was just as amazing and beautiful like your other stories. I have so missed your talented writing on this site. Can this be a possible return to the forum. I have so missed the “the wolve” story- “Backstory”. I was hoping that this was a version of that, but I am just as happy with the one I got.
