Chapter 22
Tina was dreading the conversation that she needed to have with Henry. She felt the guilt deeply. She knew now that there was really only one true love for her and even if she was too late she could no longer string Henry along. It was obvious to her no matter how much he tried to hide it that Henry was deeply in love with her.
It was strange how she could dispassionately know this and not be moved to have the same feelings in return. Actually that she wasn’t moved to return the feeling is what told her that she absolutely had to end things now before it got worse. She was also quite aware that she had a limited window before Bette was no longer an option for her. Rosanna shook her to her core. She knew instinctively that Rosanna was serious competition. While she didn’t like it Bette’s sexual forays were just that. She watched the interaction between Bette and Rosanna closely at Mikey’s party while they were there for one drink. What disturbed her the most was she could sense the connection between Bette and this woman. Bette responded to the woman physically the way she used to respond to her alone. Tina was very aware that when she was close Bette would turn to her almost like a flower seeking the sun. While in a glance she saw the connection between Bette and Candace it was clear that it was a connection that was dependent on Bette being focused in that direction. With Rosanna Bette responded to a deeper pull. A pull that rivaled her own.
Henry did not see it coming and Tina took some solace in the fact that it was quick. She made it clear that there was no future for them. She was a lesbian not just politically but in her soul. Yes she was going to see if she could have a relationship with Bette again, the other mother of her child but that no matter what she was a lesbian. She had not known this for sure until she tested the waters. She assured him that if any man could turn her out if would have been him. She had no complaints and no regrets other than hurting him.
Now she had to claim her life back…

I don’t think it going to be easy for Tina, but it will be fun for your readers. Nothing like a little competition to get someone to move forward.

Tina had better get that tight ass of hers into a higher gear. She’s dumped the dead weight of Henry, but she’s still got a *lot* of ground to gain. Another nice (but short…! c’mon girl!
