The others in the group laughed at Bette and Helena.

“But do you really want to spend the first…” Jenny put her hand on Alice’s mouth… again…

Shane shrugged at April. “Don’t be disturbed by them. This I a group of nutcases.”

“Aaw, Shane, remember you’re part of this clan. What does that say about you ?” Max provided.

“Oh man, you’re disturbingly right.” Shane mimed zipping her mouth locked and throwing away the key.

“Okay, people, we have to finalize the arrangement.” Bette was eager to go now. She wanted alone time with her lover.

And very conviniently Jenny had a plan. She had let go of Alice’s mouth and gestured to herself. “I have to leave soon and I think some of you have plans too.”

She looked at Shane, daring her to contradict. “Bette and Helena… and Blue… you are excused. Dr. Sullivan and Shane, as I remember you have plans also, that leaves Max and Alice.”

Just as Alice was to comment, Max spoke, “I have plans too, Jen.” He said poignantly.

“Argh, don’t leave me…” Alice sighed dramatically and the group laughed.

“Ahem, Jenny, who are you, Boy Scout instructor ?” Shane grinned. “But you’re right, off course. Let’s wind this party up and…”

“Leave Alice all alone, would you ?” She couldn’t resist to bait the group.

“Alice !” All except April called out to her.

“All right, all right. I’ll have to work anyway.” Smugly came from her now.

Everyone in attention laughed again and Blue looked at her. He mewed in her direction and the humans couldn’t believe it.

“Well, at least one to comment about my evening. Thanks, Mr. Porter.”

“Bette, I’d like to take his vitals again. Just to make sure he really has recovered.” April said and got up.

Bette took him into her arms and he was not happy with this move. He told her loudly and Bette kissed him on the head. “Hey, Blue, erverything is fine.”

Helena watched the interaction between her lover and Blue and smiled. “Darling, I’ll go and look if he used his facilities and pack some things.”

“Good idea, love. And April, feel free to do your work. Where should I place him ?”

“I don’t know. This table seems good enough. If he is allowed to sit on it.” April grinned.
