Bette: Good at what?
Shane: Getting what you want. You’re a hard worker Bette. Use that ability you have to good use
Bette (chuckles): Yeah I can do that. But where to begin
My tummy growls.
Bette: Oops sorry! I guess I’m hungry
Shane: No kidding! When was the last time you last ate?
Bette: Just before Mel decided to fly to
Shane: Well, maybe something to eat? No one can think with an empty stomach! We’ll park here. The Planet is just around the corner, if you still remember!
Bette: Funny Shane!
Shane: Well you never know!
We talked about how things were as we made our way to The Planet; the time when I was still living in LA, time when I was still living in the house with Tina, the house that we both ‘built’, the time when early morning would mean coffee at The Planet, lunch at The Planet and sometimes dinner there too.
Bette (laughing): Yeah I remember that.
Shane (laughing): Yeah it was funny.
Bette: I mean with the stalking and everything it can be scary but that time, it was just hilarious.
Shane: And you remember Gaby?
Bette: Oh yeah whatever happened to her?
Shane: Beats me. But I’m glad
Bette: Haha oh yeah oh god the speech!
Shane: Yeah. Gosh those were the good times huh?
Bette: Yeah. I miss those days
Shane: But you know, it could get better now?
I smiled at Shane.
Bette: Huh what do you mean?
Shane: Well, you’ll see. Things happen for a reason. And love will find its way. That’s what you taught me Bette, and that’s what I live by nowadays
Bette: I know, but it’s hard to think when you have your head in the gutter!
Shane: Yeah I get it. Hey isn’t that Tina and
I could see Alice and Tina having dinner at the Planet.
Bette: Oh wow. Talk about right timing!
Shane: Shall we?
I hesitated at first, not sure it would be the right time for me to talk to Tina about it.
Shane (as if reading my mind): You don’t have to talk to her about it tonight Bette. Take your time. She won’t go anywhere. So what do you say?
Bette: Haha why not.
As I was about to cross the street, a car zoomed past.
Shane (shouting): HEY!
Bette: Now THAT’S crazy driving. Glad we were still on this side. With that speed, god knows what would happen to us.
Shane: Fucking asshole!
I squeezed Shane’s arms and she smiled. I turned and saw a girl on her knees in the middle of the street. She seemed hurt.
Bette: Oh my god Shane. Shit.
I ran toward her to check is she was ok.
Bette: Hey are you ok? Did you get hit by the car? Here let me help you up.
I checked her arms and her face. Nothing, just a small scratch.
Girl: I, uh No Oh my god (she tilt her head up and I could see that she was frightened)
Bette (I chuckled): Don’t worry it’s just a scra
Girl: Look out!!!!
I turned around and the next thing I knew was Shane screaming my name.

What will happen next? I’m as frightened as the girl. Will Bette hit by something or beated by someone? Or let’s be more optimistic: Tina saw Bette running out of the Planet. She thought Bette’s running away from her. So she rushed out to catch her like a rhinoceros? I’m not kidding. I really want the last thing to happen. ;)

Oh My you are definately trying to see if I can hold my breath that long aren’t you. Bette finally in thinking along the right track and she’s going to get hit with a bus right. The proverbial bus in the head. Please say it’s not so Joe.
DAMN WHAT A CLIFFHANGER!!!! Now if Bette was hurt…I AM HOPING YOU DON’T GIVE HER AMNESIA, CAUSE THAT WOULD REALLY SUCK, unless she has no recollection of any separation from Tina, that she thinks they’re still together and all..but then again that would still suck, especially for Tina.
