    Bette – Post Mel

     

    Mel took a step forward and gave me a kiss on the cheek.  She cupped my face with her hands.

     

    Mel:  I know.  I believe you.  But you and I both know this isn’t going to work out.  We have to admit we’re better as friends.  And we just can’t be together if you still don’t know what you want.  You take care ok?  And I hope you find what you have been searching for.

     

    Mel let go of my face and reached for the door.  I held on to her hand.

     

    Bette:  Mel

     

    I pulled her close and gave her a meaningful embrace; a hug that signified gratitude, regret, lost, pain all at once.

     

    Bette:  I’m really sorry.  Thank you thank you for understanding

     

    Mel smiled, turned and walked away  I stood at the doorway and I just watched her leave.  I have made the right choice.  It wouldn’t be fair for Mel to be in a relationshoip where I won’t allow her near my heart and when my beating heart belongs to someone else.  It just wouldn’t be fair at all. 

     

    I went inside as soon as the sight of Mel disappeared before my eyes, and shut the door.  I let out a heavy sigh.  This room feels so empty.  I wanted to cry so much; all for the fact that I have hurt Mel in ways I never thought I could.

     

    I turned the TV on and sat on the sofa.  I don’t really know what was showing on TV, not really paying attention my mind was elsewhere.  I just needed to feel someone was there with me.  The sound from the TV was a little comforting. 

     

    I have to sort everything out.  What the fuck do I really want?  Think Bette, think think think!  When I couldn’t think anymore, I turned my attention to the TV.  Oh I’ve seen this movie.  The lady and the guy were at the Empire State building with a boy who looked kind of surprised.

     

    “It’s you”, says Sam.

     

    “It’s me?”, asked Annie.

     

    “The one in the street.  I chased after you.” He replied.

     

    “Are you Annie”, Jonah asked sounding hopeful.

    11. What will happen next? I’m as frightened as the girl. Will Bette hit by something or beated by someone? Or let’s be more optimistic: Tina saw Bette running out of the Planet. She thought Bette’s running away from her. So she rushed out to catch her like a rhinoceros? I’m not kidding. I really want the last thing to happen. ;)

    14. Oh My you are definately trying to see if I can hold my breath that long aren’t you. Bette finally in thinking along the right track and she’s going to get hit with a bus right. The proverbial bus in the head. Please say it’s not so Joe.

    15. DAMN WHAT A CLIFFHANGER!!!! Now if Bette was hurt…I AM HOPING YOU DON’T GIVE HER AMNESIA, CAUSE THAT WOULD REALLY SUCK, unless she has no recollection of any separation from Tina, that she thinks they’re still together and all..but then again that would still suck, especially for Tina. MAN POST A LONG CHAPTER SOON AND LET ME FIND OUT..OHHHHHH THE POSSIBILITIES!!!!!!!
