Dylan knows he’s made his point, but he let’s it play on for effect.

“Dylan: ‘I want to know why. What about this benefits you making such a grand investment? Why do you want to cause them problems?’

Helena: ‘Not them! Her! Just her. Get out! I will contact you in a couple of days.”

The clip ends and Dylan quickly grabs his phone.

Xandra stands, “Well, I think that was eye opening. I can’t believe you two would put the CAC at such a risk. You are both dismissed from the board. Franklin you are relieved of all duties concerning the CAC. If you both leave quietly Miss Porter has agreed not to press charges.”

Franklin argues, “But you can’t do that.” He is trying fitfully to preserve some dignity and respect, “I’m the head of this board and it will take a unanimous vote to kick me off.”

Xandra looks at him as if he is a fool, “All in favor of Franklin’s departure, please raise your hand and say “Aye”.

Xandra is the first then everyone in the room follows suit. Xandra presses a button on the intercom and two security guards enter.

Xandra: “These gentleman will help you two retrieve your personal items from your offices. Good day!”

Franklin and Helena are ushered out by the guards.

Bette thanks the board for their decision then she and Dylan retire to her office.

Bette: “That was intense. I can’t believe you recorded them.”

Dylan: “Yeah, well, I thought it might come in handy.”

Bette: “I should call Tina. Do you still feel like donating today?”

Dylan: “Sure, if you’re sure”

Bette: “Ok I’ll tell her you’re on your way to pick her up and you can give her the details of the meeting. I don’t think I can stand to relive it.”

Dylan laughs, “ok well, I’ll see you later.”

Bette: “Bye”

Bette plops down in her chair and takes a deep refreshing breath.

An hour or so later there is a knock at Bette’s door.

Bette: “Come in.”

Xandra steps into Bette’s office, “Bette, I just wanted to let you know that I don’t think you’ll be having any more trouble with Helena.”

Bette: “What makes you so sure?”

Xandra: “Well, I happen to be close friends with Peggy Peabody and I called her right after the meeting to inform her of her daughter’s actions. Needless to say, she was not happy, in fact, she has decided to take the foundation away from Helena and she is flying her into New York for a psycological evaluation.” She turns to leave, “Just thought you might like to know that.”

Bette leans back in her chair. She pictures Helena in a straight jacket and laughs. She can’t wait to get home to tell Tina.
